An absolute must for any retro gamer or PSP owner.
-
It may be underappreciated just for what it is, but those who pick it up and really play into it will quickly find that this one is something special.
-
PSM MagazineThe fact that this UMD contains faithful versions of "Street Fighter II", which single-handedly established the modern fighting genre, and its two "upgrades," Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting, makes it worth the price of admission alone. [Dec. 2006, p.77]
-
Capcom finally strikes retro gaming gold with Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded for the PSP. Not only does it cram in dozens of unforgettable classics into one tasty package but the games featured here still hold up wonderfully after all these years.
-
Hands down, Capcom offers the most complete nostalgia collections available. The latest includes titles practically destined for portable systems and is well worth the price.
-
Despite the presence of a few flaws, there really is no reason for an old school gamer to overlook a rare gem like Capcom Collections Reloaded. The bite sized portions and sheer variety of games make this entry a must have for any casual player, frequent long distance traveler, or aspiring king of the playground.
-
Official U.S. Playstation MagazineAdditionally, there's a ton of extra stuff you can unlock ranging from art to music, so there's no question that, like the last collection, Reloaded will keep you glued to your PSP for quite some time. [Nov. 2006, p.124]
-
Reloaded is a solid PSP anthology that's better than its predecessor and one I'd easily recommend for old-school gaming fans everywhere.
-
When you boil it right down, Reloaded is just a great compilation, plain and simple.
-
Those players who grew up wasting their time, energy, and no lack of their parents' money in places like Token Joe's, where the lights never worked but the monitors still glowed, this collection will hit just enough right notes to justify the price.
-
AceGamezGreat value in terms of quantity and quality - unlike some retro collections that surround one or two perfect games with several bad ones (think EA Replay), this is not the case here.
-
Play UKJust don't expect an easy ride and, remember, these games are over a decade old now, and it really does show. [Issue #147, p.91]
-
While some of the titles included may not scratch your old-school itch, the majority certainly will help you remember why you fell in love with video gaming.
-
A nice eclectic mix of arcade classics that look and play well on the PSP.
-
Depending on what you're expecting from this backward-looking game, you’ll find its limited number of genres to be either repetitive due to minor changes between titles or reminiscent thanks to including all series updates, large and small.
-
Capcom's latest PSP compilation has some emulation issues, but there's enough of the good stuff on the disc to make it worth checking out.
-
The whole collection plays out like the unlockables - tons of entertainment and worthwhile content that's slightly soured by the difficulty of getting to it.
-
Some of the games aren't so hot, and the loading is too long. Plus, the decision that forces players to earn unlockable goodies via chance isn't cool at all. Nevertheless, Reloaded earns merit for many of its games, which are perfectly emulated.
-
All in all there are plenty of gems here, if not a lot of variation. But you can't knock a compilation that offers a classic picture perfect conversion of Street Fighter II.
-
The only serious criticisms I have are the brutal loading times, which seriously detract from the pick up and play appeal of the game, and the fact that we're going to need to buy numerous collections to get all the great Capcom oldies.
-
Official Playstation 2 Magazine UKAn entertaining if shallow compilation of some genuine classics that's well worth a punt at 20 quid. [Christmas 2006, p.92]
-
BoomtownThe quick play arcade nature of its core selection of titles is perfectly suited to a handheld. As it currently stands it’s the best of this type of compilation on the market for the PSP and should provide many hours of classic gaming enjoyment.
-
There's certainly plenty of nostalgia to be had here - and for the money you can't really complain about a compilation that been created with a great deal of care - but sadly Capcom Classics Reloaded offers only a snapshot of what retro gaming offers.
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKIt's like seeing all of "Street Fighter's" crazy uncles together in one room. [Mar 2007, p.120]
-
PSM3 Magazine UKGet this for the "SF2"s, if you like, but don't even bother with the rest. [Christmas 2006, p.95]
-
Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded isn't better than its predecessor but it is a solid compilation in its own right.
-
Games Master UKLot's to play, but you won't really want to play all of it. [Christmas 2006, p.98]
