Fast action and story, a easy to play shoot-em-up.
-
Army of Two: The 40th Day is a fine game on the PlayStation 3, but on the PlayStation Portable it is poor. The biggest problem is the linear gameplay and the bad level design. Graphics and audio are pretty good, but the gameplay isn’t and that’s a shame [ipv sad].
-
Lackluster action sequences, brain-dead AI and limited gameplay features really cripple the port of Army of Two: The 40th day on the PSP. While the game does feature morality moments, good dialogue and a variety of environments to fight through, the action is so basic and repetitive that the fun is completely missing.
-
But for the most part the technical and visual achievements that make this title tick on consoles are all but absent here, leaving PSP players with a broken bro-mance.
-
In its portable version, Army of Two: The 40th Day delivers good graphics and some classic shoot'em-up action. However, the gameplay suffers from a mediocre AI and the six stages are too short to last more than four hours.
