  • Summary: Prepare for the most outrageous WF experience ever created. Brawl in the ring, backstage, in the VIP room, the parking lot of the new WF New York. Let your fury rage in the new Tornado Tag Team mode. If that's not hardcore enough, pull out the tables, ladders or chairs and really get nasty.

Infinite playability and attention to the he-men details make this a treat. [Mar 2002, p.34]

One of the best wrestlers on the PlayStation, Smackdown 2 puts all the other jabronis to shame with its quick action, cool graphics, and exciting game play.
  3. A fantastically comprehensive and playable wrestling sim - if it's actually possible to simulate something that isn't 'real' in the first place.
  4. 90
A huge arsenal of moves and a ridiculous number options - some great, some not so great - add tons of replay value and make Smackdown 2, making it a virtual no-brainer for wrestling fans.
  5. 89
Clearly the best wrestling game on the PlayStation and packing a feature set much larger and well-rounded than the original Smackdown.
  6. The solid gameplay from the first game is there, and the game has more than enough modes to keep you entertained, but overall, WWF SmackDown! 2 is simply more of the same.
  7. Spank!

The custom options are outstanding and there's tons of hidden stuff to find. The only real drawback are the painfully long loading times.
