    I have yet to notice any pop-up or draw-in in the game. The developers did a tremendous job of hiding these artifacts behind tunnels and turns such that once you make a curve or pop over a hill the images flow naturally.

    The controls take some getting used to and the AI can be infuriating, but, it's still an insanely addictive game. It's one of those titles that'll have you storming out of the room swearing that you'll never play it again, only to find yourself back in front of the screen, Dual Shock in hand, half an hour later.

    An overlooked racing game, that sadly never got a sequel. Even better than the Gran Turismo games for PS1, which are phenomenal. Overall rating: 8.1.

    The first PlayStation was a great console for driving games. Vanishing Point is one of the last games for the console.
