  1. The game is filled with imagination, color and good solid fundamental platforming elements. With the success that Toy Story has generated gamers will enjoy getting a chance to take control of Buzz Lightyear and giving those bad toys a real lesson in butt kicking.
  2. Fans of the Toy Story movies should consider this one a must have. Even without the dynamic characterization and the familiar setting, Toy Story 2 is a well executed arcade title.
  3. An adventure title that is longer than most others. It features 15 levels, with 5 tokens to be collected in each level, mini games, 15 mini bosses, 5 bosses, beautiful FMV's, colorful areas, free movement, and so much more that my fingers can break from writing so much info.
  4. Well, while the graphics certainly cannot compare to the movie, the gameplay is very good and the story plays out in videogame format quite nicely. There is a lot to see and do while guiding Buzz around in this fantasyland of toys.
  5. Don't let the fact that it's based on a movie throw you. It's much better than you think.
  6. Just a wasted opportunity. Of course, we are totally missing the point here because the game is aimed at players as young as eight, and we are therefore being far too damning in our criticism, but what the hell, we love kiddie platformers just as much as any juvenile, and we still thought this game was unimaginative and distinctly lame.
  7. The game is good. Whether you've seen the movie or not, Toy Story 2, as a game, stands on its own. It's not complicated or sexy; it's just a fun, straightforward, nonlinear adventure game with puzzle and platform elements.

It's a moderately fun game, and it's a fine stocking stuffer, but just don't blame me if your children's dental bill skyrockets from them gritting their teeth.
  9. Easy, but long, and it will please most fans of games like "Super Mario 64" and "Banjo-Kazookie." It looks fantastic, it's a lot of fun, and it handles superbly.
  10. The sprawling environments are the game's strongest points and greatest weaknesses---it's terrific to run down the stairs in Andy's living room, or go sliding around on zip-wires in the basement, or flying through the air with the help of a reclining chair launch-mechanism...but at the same time, there seems to be an uninspiring deadness to the world around you; it simply isn't interactive enough.
  11. If you want to see video clips, go watch the actual movie - It will look better anyway. If you want a groundbreaking three-dimensional platformer, you're still looking in the wrong place, bub. Little kids might be willing to look past the unoriginality and outdated gameplay... maybe they would even have some fun. But most kids, including those who are just kids at heart, would be smart enough to play elsewhere.

Although it's nothing like the movie, this was one of my favorite games as a kid. I've beaten this more times than I can count.
