A very addicting game. I love games that allow you to beat up on your buddies by using your mind and skill instead of brute force.
-
Perhaps the most satisfying part of the game is setting up the multi-hit combos. When you pull one of these off, your character attacks your opponent's character, complete with the sound effects from the original fighting games.
-
The pace is always utterly frantic, usually over in under a couple of minutes, and gives players an uncontrollable urge to come back for more.
-
For puzzle action, Puzzle Fighter has the goods - especially in the two-player mode.
-
There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the most addictive and fun games ever to hit the Playstation OR the Saturn.
-
Utterly brilliant, and deserves purchase by anyone who's ever had a penchant for "Tetris." And don't forget to play with a friend in the versus mode!
-
For anyone looking for a "Puyo Puyo"-esque game with "Street Fighter" thrown in for good measure, this game will satisfy.
-
netjakIntuitive gameplay and nearly infinite replay value in the multiplayer mode make up for a lackluster single-player experience.
-
Unfortunately, I discovered a serious flaw in the game after a few days of play. The best strategy is not to intelligently place and rotate gems. It actually works better if you just drop them as quickly as possible and let the great god Chaos sort them out.
