PeterG.Jun 26, 2003Castlevania SOTN is one of those games: easy to pick up, impossible to put down. This game has established itself in many peoples opinion as the best platformer of all time, it oozes quality and longevity. The graphics being although 2d have a feel all of their own!! Unmissable!!!!

Dec 9, 2011Great game, one of my all time favorites. In 2011 there's really not much to say about this game that hasn't already been said. If you like 2D exploration, you will love this game.

Jul 4, 2013Epic, in all different levels. The only way to make this game better is by making an HD version, with HQ music and with new areas. It's perfection itself.

Mar 17, 2014A classic. Although not quite as good as Super Metroid this game is one of the best 2D games there are. It evolved the Metroidvania formula and added always welcome RPG elements. Carries on the atmosphere and exploration of the classic Metroidvania games. Definitely worth it.

Sep 23, 2017This is easily one of the best games ever created. I first played this last year and was enraptured from beginning to end. The music is memorable, the graphics are gorgeous, the challenge level is just right, and the replayability is high with the options to go for 200% completion and a Richter playthrough. Timeless.

Apr 3, 2015This game was the best game i've played on my entire life. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing, the customization, the amount of items, the bestiary, the bosses, everything in this game is fantastic. I recommend it to everyone!

May 3, 2014HOW I RATE: 10-9 score: perfect or near-perfect don't exist; 8 score: one of the best games ever. Top score; 7-6 score: great but not one of the best; 5-below score: serious flaws.

May 30, 2015It's a good game, just incredibly overrated. Aria/Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia are far better games and honestly make Symphony of the Night feel quite boring. At the end of the day there's nothing that SotN does that you won't find much better in the newer entries.
That being said though, Richter mode in SotN is still loads of fun. -

Not to be missed.

netjakWith at least four known endings, Symphony's already astounding replay value is entirely phenomenal.
