    It's only too bad that a few extras couldn't be included. I would have loved to have a couple of the NES sequels on the disc. Also, all the technical aspects (graphics, sound) are dated (as they should be).

    Absolutely amazing. Finally getting a thrilling classic Castlevania just as hard as the originals.

    It all depends how old you are, and when you got into gaming. If you've been playing Castlevania since the NES days, you have to do It all depends how old you are, and when you got into gaming. If you've been playing Castlevania since the NES days, you have to do yourself the favor and pick up this game. "Super Castlevania," "Dracula X" and "Symphony of the Night" are way better games, (the gameplay and controls are much simpler than the other games) but this one should still be in you collection. Like all the other reviews said; if you don't understand what the Castlevania phenomenon is all about, definately don't bother. Kudos to Konami for bringing this one to the States, some of us reday love classics remakes/reisuues.… Expand

I played in original mode and while the 1st stages where kind of easy, soon the difficulty starts to get really punishing, this can be good or bad depending on the person. You can Save your file from the start of each stage which made things easier.… Expand

The game would later receive a port for the PlayStation, with the original game (Original Mode) and an updated version (Arrange Mode). Original Mode is very difficult and plays like a second quest, where enemies do much more damage and the jumping controls feel stiff. Arrange Mode is more beginner friendly with easier difficulty and smoother controls. While the game doesn't bring anything new to the table as far as the Castlevania series goes, it's a solid entry in the series and worth playing for any fan.… Expand
