Oct 28, 2016I’m awful at playing horror games, and I’m always too scared to make any real progress. Yomawari creates a great atmosphere of tension and terror that rarely relies on cheap scares, and it was the perfect formula to keep me hooked until the end. If you’re looking for a good alternate horror game, look no further.

Oct 19, 2016Simple as it might look, but Yomawari is a remarkably complex game that aims to be something far loftier than most attempts at interactive horror. Its intensity is in its subtleties, and the way it is constructed makes it a masterclass in the aesthetics and theming of one of the most important art traditions to have ever come from Japanese culture.

Nov 1, 2016Don't let the cuteness fool you, Yomawari: Night Alone is a creepy horror game which will make you jump! The game preys on all the fears you had as a child, with ghosts standing under flickering streetlamps and arms grabbing at you through manhole covers. It's not particularly long but I'd still recommend people give it a go for the unique atmosphere and interesting story.

Nov 14, 2016A charming & scary 2D adventure full of Japanese elements & a great aesthetic work on its back. One of the best survival horror games for PS Vita.
-
Nov 8, 2016Yomawari Night Alone can be seen as a simple game experience but inside its gameplay it has a quite interesting survival horror game from the point of view of a girl in search of her big sister and dog. With a simple but also great setting, not just in graphics but also in sound, this game makes for a quite remarkable experience from the beginning to the end.
-
Oct 19, 2016I don’t think I’ll ever forget the bone-chilling reaction I had in the opening moments of Yomawari: Night Alone. It was the perfect way to grab someone’s attention and immerse them into the tone of the game. If it wasn’t for the hindrance of the mechanics and the length of the game, we’d be looking at one of the best games of the year. However, I would still highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fascinating experience deserving of a sequel.
-
Oct 18, 2016Despite some passages that are quite frustrating, despite a limited longevity, the game is highly recommended for fans of the genre and not. Yomawari: Night Alone is a small masterpiece that will terrorize you several times.
-
Oct 18, 2016I still get chills thinking about my time with Yomawari: Night Alone. Whether it's a particularly scary moment that pops into my head or one of the many weird visuals that I just can't get out of my mind, this is a game that's going to stick with me for a while.
-
Oct 18, 2016One of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had in gaming with its nerve-racking atmosphere and grotesque enemies.
-
Oct 19, 2016Yomawari brings back the true survival horror from the 90s with a different perspective. It's not too long, but it's a game Japanese horror games fan should try.
-
Oct 24, 2016Yomawari: Night Out is the definition of survival horror, trapped with nothing to defend yourself with against horrors that await around every corner. Yomawari may be light on jump scares but the creatures, sound design, and atmosphere is enough to creep anyone out.
-
Oct 24, 2016The incredibly lenient death system will be seen as a boon by those who suffer through horror games and love only having to experience a particularly scary section the bare number of times that is necessary. The save system also encourages a pick-up-and-play mentality, which is a nice fit on the Vita.
