Dec 19, 2017Xenon Valkyrie+ is something I easily see myself coming back to whenever I have a free moment and my Vita in hand. It can be a cruel experience for sure and some alterations to the overall design would go a long way, but it’s still a fun little game I can play seriously for hours or casually on a lunch break.

Dec 24, 2017Xenon Valkyrie+ is an ok game and I've found myself going back for one more go, hoping for a better run, which is always a plus for these rogue-lites. Unfortunately the high level of difficulty ends up just being frustrating. As a quick pick up and play game you'll find fun here for a bit, but in the end it never really does enough to stand out in the crowded rogue-lite genre.

Mar 9, 2018Xenon Valkyrie+ is more or less what it promises to be: a retro-tinged love letter to old school platformers. It’s probably not going to be the greatest thing you’ll ever play, but if the second half of the previous sentence is the kind of thing that’s relevant to your interests, it’s probably worth checking out.
