Mar 6, 2014Toukiden is the most beautiful and playable "Monster Hunter clone" to date.
-
Feb 14, 2014Monster Hunter still wins out in terms of depth and variety, but Omega Force manages to nail so many of the other elements that make Capcom’s game so satisfying. And since Capcom is busy sleeping with the enemy, we have no hesitation whatsoever in heralding Toukiden as the best Monster Hunter game on Vita.

Feb 10, 2014Monster Hunter meets Dynasty Warriors in this interesting new IP from Tecmo Koei. If you like lots of farming this is the game for you when building your arsenal. The story is also gripping enough to have you wondering whats next, but if Dynasty Warriors combat is not for you, this won't change it for you.

Feb 19, 2014That said, I don't want to dissuade anyone from getting Toukiden. It's obviously not the most original game the Vita has to offer, but it's still done incredibly well — no small feat when you consider that even if the genre may be overdone, the two similar games that have come to the PS Vita in North America before it (Soul Sacrifice and Ragnarok Odyssey) both whiffed in their own unique ways.
-
Feb 26, 2014An exciting Monster Hunter-shaped loot-fest that the Vita's been sorely missing.
-
Feb 20, 2014While it doesn’t have the depth of a Monster Hunter game, it builds a great foundation for a potential sequel and due to its accessibility, it’s well worth checking out whether you’re a fan of the genre or not.
-
Feb 12, 2014Toukiden's pros overwhelm its cons. It's fun and somewhat addictive, whether you're playing with the AI or online.
-
Feb 10, 2014Toukiden is a very good Monster Hunter clone, with a better story and a streamlined combat system. If you don't have a Nintendo console but you want to go hunting monsters with some friends, Toukiden is the game for you.
-
Feb 10, 2014Even though the similitude with Monster Hunter is undeniable, this is not a bad thing at all. PS Vita owners can now enjoy a hunting game very solid and fun, quite outstanding taking into account it's Omega Force's first try with this genre.
-
Feb 10, 2014Deep, engaging and sophisticated hack´n slash action game, plenty of battles and intense action. A must have for PS Vita owners.
-
Feb 10, 2014Though it is certainly not reinventing the wheel, Omega Force succeeds in proposing us a far better action game than the recent installments of the Dynatsty Warriors series have been. Toukiden will please all of the Monster Hunter fans who only own a PS Vita.
-
Feb 10, 2014Toukiden: The Age of Demons is actually a pretty good "hunting game" but it lacks the exceptional design choices which made our preys in the Monster Hunter series truly great. It's an OK substitute however, once you get over a few nuisances and gameplay issues.

LaPS4Feb 11, 2014Quotation forthcoming.
-
Feb 19, 2014While lacking an open world environment and a leveling system to go beyond the limits, Toukiden still proves to be a great game to keep players busy and entertained.
-
Feb 12, 2014A good take on the hunter genre, with great action, good graphics and excellent music. Sometimes it´s a bit repetitive and tedious with the grind, but overall it´s a worthy experience.
-
Mar 11, 2014Though it has lots of similarities with Capcom's big series, Toukiden: The Age of Demons can stand on its own.
-
Feb 14, 2014It owes much to Monster Hunter, but it still has its own way of delivering interesting content. Also, the lasting appeal is fair, if you can accept some repetitive mission.
