More or less satisfying on tablets and phones, Table Top Racing does not make the weight on a PS Vita.

There is a surprising amount of tracks and the game runs unbelievable smooth which Sonic racing wasn't able to achieve on the system. All the pick up powerups are everything you would expect and scream generic kart racer. The game is a bit on the slow and easy side but it is fun and relaxing. Annoying it assigns look in reverse to the back touch and there is no way to turn it off. It does have ways to pay to unlock but I found it was never needed. Sonic Racing is the better game on the Vita but this one is cheaper. Full Review »

I've ended up getting a huge amount of enjoyment out of it - more than I expected.

At first it seemed like there wasn't heaps of content because the Championship mode isn't super long, but it's begun to dawn on me that the Special Events give you loads more to do, most of which will become available after you win a bunch of Championship events. I haven't even tried the Drift Events yet.

I would vaguely liken the gameplay to Mario Kart - a series I've dabbled in sometimes but never got totally hooked on. The different vehicles do drive differently to one another due to their varying stats. The weapon pickups and wheel upgrades give plenty of variety, and I like that some events prohibit or emphasise certain items to mix things up. There are short events if you just want a 5min session, and longer multi-round events too. I saw a review that said power-ups can only be used via the touchscreen, but in fact they are also assigned to the L and R shoulder buttons so it's all good!

There is an option to buy coins (for upgrades) with real money, but I've never even come close to doing that. You can earn plenty of coins in the Championships and other events to buy upgrades.

I've come across one or two bugs but they seem really rare and if anything they have made me laugh rather than caused any frustration :)

I recommend it for those whom enjoy racing games on a handheld. Full Review »
