Oct 24, 2012Now what is the reason to own Street Fighter X Tekken for PlayStation Vita if you already own it for the home consoles? This version is packed full of extras geared towards owners of the PlayStation 3 version of the game. With this you receive the extra 12 DLC characters and 38 alternate costumes for the core characters of the game.

Nov 15, 2012Street Fighter X Tekken on the Vita is certainly worth picking up if you're a Vita owner and a fighting game fan, and continues the excellent port work put forth by Capcom with their Marvel vs. Capcom 3 release when the Vita launched. It's still a really fun fighter in its own right, and while I could certainly do with them ditching the tedious and unbalanced gem system, the rest of the package is a fun romp through two fighting game worlds.

Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaNov 9, 2012SFxT for Vita is a maddeningly brilliant obsession that will burn holes in your mitts. If you're looking for a fighter to permanently fuse to your hip, or want to save yourself having to spend $30 just to unlock the DLC of your PS3 copy, punch a hole in your piggy bank and go pick this up. You won't regret it. [December 2012, p71]

Nov 6, 2012This is probably one of the beat'em ups ever launched on a portable console.
-
Oct 27, 2012Other than a couple of minor issues and unavoidable things you'll have to get used to when doing competitive gaming on the Vita, SFxT really is a fun and fair game that's plenty fast, but not so frantic or silly that you get lost with a half-dozen characters flying around on-screen.
-
Oct 23, 2012Great conversion of an already top-notch 2D fighting game. A superb addition for PS Vita.
-
Oct 23, 2012Street Fighter x Tekken is one of the best fighting games on handheld consoles.
-
Nov 12, 2012Even if you never go online, SFxT is a fantastic fighter and one that adds enough to a familiar formula to be well worth the investment - even if you have all of the other versions of Street Fighter. And at the end of the day, that's what really matters. If you like portable pugilism, it's a must-own.
-
Nov 12, 2012The Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken is identical to the console version. Ergo, if you have one of the console versions, this version does not add anything significant and is not worth the purchase. Though if you do not have one of the console versions, the Vita version is a great alternative.
-
Nov 1, 2012Street Fighter X Tekken for the Vita is not only the best version of the title, but it's also easily the best-looking fighter on the handheld, and it could be said that this is the best fighter on the Vita right now. Considering its competition, that's saying quite a lot.
-
Oct 23, 2012There's not many additions compared to the console version (except for the 12 DLC characters), but still is an excellent 2D fighting game. A must have for fans of any to the series, always keeping in mind that the Gems system might be a problem when you start playing online.
-
Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxDec 4, 2012After the DLC debacle of the console versions, Capcom had to make things right. And they did with the Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken. The twelve DLC character are included for free, just like the first batch of alternative costumes. [December 2012, p.76]
-
Jan 8, 2013I would recommend getting it if you need one for your Vita collection and have some familiarity with both franchises, or if you want to get the extra DLC characters for both Vita and PS3 versions.
-
Oct 29, 2012If you don“t own Street Fighter X Tekken now, this is the perfect time to get it because the PS Vita version hits the mark almost with perfection.
-
Oct 29, 2012Although a bit late, Street Fighter X Tekken for PlayStation Vita is a solid beat'em-up, packed with lots of content. You can play online with PS3 owners, and that's great, though there are a few technical shortcomings here and there.
-
Nov 20, 2012Feature-wise, the Vita version of SFxT is a much more complete package than the original release. However, the cramped and limited interface of the Vita inhibit your ability to enjoy them all as much as you should. This is still an incredibly solid experience and an excellent fighting game, however I find myself longing for the ability to use my arcade stick, or at least my console controller.
-
Nov 7, 2012Street Fighter x Tekken for PS Vita is an all-around fighter that takes the complete package of the PlayStation 3 and gives you more on the go.
-
Nov 20, 2012The Vita does not shame Street Fighter x Tekken, but the game is harder to control with the smaller buttons and the lack of two shoulder buttons. Despite that, this is still a good game with great online capabilities.
-
Nov 5, 2012A solid brawler, but one that does very little with the Tekken licence. If you want another Street Fighter-like scrapper, it's a solid purchase.
-
Nov 3, 2012Being as good as the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, Street Fighter X Tekken PS Vita is a pleasant surprise. The famous fighting title developed by Capcom manages to offer intuitive games controls, and interesting gameplay ideas thanks to the use of the Cross Link and Cross Platform systems. Already successful on consoles, Street Fighter X Tekken is clearly the best fighting game released on an handheld console to date.
-
Oct 30, 2012There are a ton of features in the game that no one asked for. Vita owners already have Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Mortal Kombat in their lineup, and MK is far superior with its uniquely designed challenge mode exclusively for Vita.
-
Oct 23, 2012The Vita version of Street Fighter X Tekken suffers from the very same problems of other versions out there. The new game mode, Explosive Kumite, is a little bit plain and boring, but the new online K.O. Collection is pretty interesting. Anyway, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear or Mortal Kombat are tough cookies for this game.
-
Oct 29, 2012For us, it's all about the sweet science, and in this regard SFxT is still sorely lacking.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Nov 20, 2012Given the smaller screen and weaker controls, there's almost no reason to play this if you've already experienced SFXT. [Holiday 2012, p.79]
-
Nov 6, 2012X certainly has its merits but when all is said and done only it feels like a game that is specifically tuned towards series veterans or those who are invested in the online community.
