Got this as a free PS Plus game a few months ago and being a fan of GW and their Universe I was excited to give it a try. I'm a fan of Tactical turn based games - and in every way this one misses the mark. The game is slow, boring and infuriating. To make matters worse - every movement, selection, etc... was painfully slow. The Vita had a tough time with this game - which is surprising because there isn't much to the game itself. I'd avoid this. Expand

A smart, tough base game completely obscured by janky execution. [Christmas 2015, p.83]

To enjoy Space Hulk, though, you have to be willing to sit through all kinds of wait times. That's pretty much non-negotiable. Personally, I think the waiting nearly — but doesn't totally — negate all the good things the game does, but your own experiences will be dictated largely by your level of patience.

Regrettably, similarities to the original board game and exceptionally rare moments of fun can’t save Space Hulk’s voyage onto Vita. Although somewhat functional it’s nowhere near the level of quality fans will have been expecting, especially given how long the port has been in development. In short, it feels utterly passionless and rushed with no real consideration for those who might actually buy it.
