Jul 11, 2016A lovely fighting game with a style all its own, Skullgirls 2nd Encore pairs finely tuned combat with cute and gruesome characters to create a wonderful display of passion and design. If it weren't for its technical limitations, this game could easily be considered a masterpiece.

Apr 25, 2016Though it is by no means the definitive version of the title, Skullgirls: 2nd Encore is a great fighting game for the Vita.
-
Apr 18, 2016Skullgirls 2nd Encore is an easy recommendation to anyone who has even a passing interest in the fighting genre.
-
Apr 8, 2016Skullgirls 2nd Encore loses some visual luster, but that's about it. Besides the disappointing graphical downgrade, players are getting an identical experience to the console version. Considering it's cross-buy, there's a lot to like here.
-
Jul 15, 2016Nonetheless, the art is impressive enough that even a somewhat pale reflection of greatness is still worth seeing. Combine that with an average fighting game and…well, to be honest, I'm not sure if it's enough to make Skullgirls worth a recommendation, unless you're either really into fighting games, or really into seeing an aesthetic that doesn't get nearly enough representation in games.
-
Apr 18, 2016Skullgirls 2nd Encore is a much easier purchase to recommend to a PS Vita or PS TV owner who already owns Skullgirls Encore on PS3 or owns a PS4.
-
Apr 13, 2016Its odd yet enchanting art design and overall presentation make it stand out, not to mention the awesome training. Unfortunately, this port to the Vita has some control and visual issues, and '2nd Encore' is probably best played on the PS4.
