Jun 3, 2014If you’ve got kids that grown bored of Nintendogs or simply want a virtual experience of owning a puppy then playstation Vita Pets is an awesome experience and I can’t wait to see the next steps it’ll take.
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaJul 16, 2014A more than solid base to build a fuzzy franchise on. A bit thin on breeds, and the dog voices are rather annoying. [August 2014, p80]
-
Jul 4, 2014I’d say it’s a little bit better. It has the best graphics, you can hear your puppy talk, and you can go on a little adventure. There’s no buggie, in case I haven’t mentioned that, but it’s still pretty good.
-
Jun 27, 2014Compared to Nitendogs, here you'll find a specific purpose for your pets, in finding an ancient treasure. Interactions with the puppies are not varied as they are in Nintendo's rival, but the game still has a fun part to it.
-
Jun 17, 2014Vita Pets isn’t an original purebred, but it is a winner in the league of it’s own genre recognized for its triteness. There are a couple of problems with repetitiveness that may feel like you’re chasing your own tail, as well as the irksome voice acting. Look beyond this, and you’ll find an entertaining world of activities and a virtual best friend you’ll be happy you invested time with, even if it does feel monotonous at times.
-
Jun 5, 2014Vita Pets is an easy, pretty good game for children (and parents), and even though it's not perfect, it delivers hours and hours of play.
-
Jun 4, 2014PlayStation Vita Pets is not exactly a prize-winning pooch, but it’s definitely the pick of the litter in a genre that’s renowned for its mediocrity.
-
Jun 27, 2014With plenty of accessories to outfit your pet, an island brimming with secrets, and all the niceties of a "regular" pet sim, this adorable adventure has a leg up on the competition, but does falter a bit in its execution.
-
Jun 24, 2014A nice first try by Sony to compete with Nintendogs in a different way: it's a shame that the dubbing is awful and there's way too much repetition involved, especially in the first few hours, but young dog lovers should give it a try.
-
Jun 18, 2014PlayStation Vita Pets does an admirable job of trying something new, but unfortunately the slow pace of the adventure mode acts as a counteragent to its good ideas.
-
Jun 17, 2014It may present some unwanted hurdles yet, as a whole, PlayStation Vita Pets is an enjoyable, long-lasting experience. Naturally, die-hard gamers will probably let this one slip through the net though younger, more casual players should feel right at home.
-
Jun 26, 2014If you’ve got a small one of your own and money to burn then you’ll probably find something in PlayStation Vita Pets to make it worthwhile – if you’re missing one of those things then you’re best off staying away entirely or just hitting up iOS for something to tick off those basic interactions.
-
Jun 16, 2014It's a pleasant adventure, but this is still a dog you won't want to take home.
-
Jun 8, 2014Pets struggles to teach an old dog new tricks. It takes a few steps forward and the same steps back, so a couple of more laps around the obstacle course might be needed before this pooch can storm out of the gate running like a champion.
-
Jun 5, 2014There’s a very good idea in here, but it’s buried under the monotony and the snail’s pace, and while it might be fine for a younger player that really likes dogs, I would hesitate to recommend this. It could have been so much better.
