    At about 5 hours in, it's easy to see that this is the best Vanillaware game on vita thus far. The colors pop off the screen, the combat is visceral and beautiful and the RPG elements are pretty addictive. The first time you see a giant dragon on the screen in this game, you'll be hooked too.

    This game is the definition of art. The story, the depth and the combat are all top notch. To me this game is a masterpiece. Im just a couple of hours in and already in love with it.

    I picked up this game out of sheer curiosity and eye candy from the trailer. After playing for 6 hours, I must say I am hooked. Fresh gameplay style, and a side-scrolling orientation that makes traversing on the map pretty interesting. The characters are well-drawn, the dialogue and script is solid, the overall presentation, beautiful. The upgrade system is simple and straightforward, andI picked up this game out of sheer curiosity and eye candy from the trailer. After playing for 6 hours, I must say I am hooked.     No solo es una maravilla en lo jugable, sino que su historia te atrapa y sus personajes realmente te importan. Y todo esto sujeto por el apartado visual 2D mas impresionante que este servidor haya visto jamás. Una maravilla que dentro de 10 o 20 años seguirá igual de fresca. A falta de probar Final Fantasy XV, el mejor RPG del año.

    Well I did a review and gave 9.0 because I didn't think the game had a hard mode. But now in my new game plus I could choose this difficult or the heroic mode (very hardcore mode). So now the game is perfect for me and I give 10/10.

    This Vita Version doesn't have problems with framerate and slowdown.

    once I understood how the map worked I was hooked. Its a really nice 2D side scrolling hack and slash dungeon exploration game with a long and interesting story . one of the best games on vita.

    Simplesmente o melhor jogo do ps vita, e o melhor da Vanillaware, lindos gráficos, linda trilha sonora, gameplay fluido e leve, história muito bem elaborada, cinco personagens e cinco histórias, nota final 10.

    Odin Sphere is great 2D RPG with beautiful graphic. The story is really good and the fairy tale theme makes wonderful atmosphere. The game is really well made so do not pass this just because this is only 2D game - that does not mean that this is bad game. Combat system is very fast and crafting system is easy to use.     I loved this game's original release on the PS2 and replaying it on the Vita gave me just as much pleasure. This game really shines in it's visuals, audio, and story. The fact that not much visually has changed since the PS2 release and yet people still have high praise is telling of how nice the art is. I could see some people feeling that the story is slow in spots but I was very drawn into the characters' interlocking stories. The new elements to the combat system were welcomed for adding a bit more depth, but the combat was sufficient for me, even as someone who isn't big on the action genre. Only complaint have is the boss battles are sometimes lack-luster and are re-used. This is forgivable because you are fighting the same bosses with different characters, but still takes away from the excitement a bit.

    Overall it is a unique and artistic game and if you appreciate a good story, don't miss this one.    … Expand

    Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is a work of art, and a joy to play leisurely on the Vita. It offers an interesting series of characters, five interwoven stories, and a ton of action - only asking that you put up with a little slowdown in the high action bits, and semi-regular unnecessary interruptions in return.

    Vanillaware have done a wonderful job of bringing Odin Sphere up to date whilst still keeping what made it so endearing originally. If you are after a combat focused game with a compelling setup and a beautiful, painterly aesthetic you really can’t go wrong with Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir.
