The funny thing is that it seems that the whole game was created under the influence of drugs, something that came out of a disturbed mind, but ends up revealing itself as a masterpiece.

Buy this one without hesitation, especially if you haven't played it before.

Probably one of the best platforms to enjoy the addictive and singular Hotline Miami. It plays very well thanks to the dual sticks, the touche screen adds targeting options, and the crisp screen of the Vita allows for a perfect rendering of this flashy, pixelated universe. Seeing as it is crossbuy as well (PS3/Vita), it's a no-brainer.

A tribute to the eighties, Hotline Miami impresses with a fantastic soundtrack, dito graphics and a fair amount of challenge to keep hardcore gamers busy for days to come.

If you haven’t played Hotline Miami on PC yet, this is your perfect chance. One of the best indie games ever made is now available on Vita and PS3 for just €8 with cross-buy and cross-save. Great controls, a weird story and an epic soundtrack make this little gem a must-buy.

With the vastly improved controls and portable-friendly nature of the game, one could argue that the Vita version of Hotline Miami is the definitive offering.

Wrap it up with a bizarre story and a cool 80s vibe, and Hotline Miami is one of PlayStation Vita's guiltiest pleasures, a blood-soaked, retro-inspired homage to the most difficult video games ever conceived. So long as you're of age, it comes highly recommended.

The Indie revolution has started and this is pretty much a flagship title, a game that shows why the Vita is a perfect fit for the Indie games, why they work so well and why they can be so fun. Hotline Miami is a game that you simply must own, it will be the best £6.49 you will spend, whether you have it on PC already or not!

Given it's not the most technologically-taxing title in existence means the transition has been made flawlessly; if you want to experience Dennaton Games' debut how it was intended, there's nothing for you to be overly worried about. If anything, especially on the Vita, you'll be pleased with how much sharper it all looks.

There's no reason to buy it again if you've already played it on PC, but if you haven't you're missing one of the biggest surprises of the indie scene. A game like no other, fun and addictive.

Hotline Miami is a very unique experience. The game forgets about 2013's game conventions and delivers some hardcore action.

Like a punch you didn't see coming, Hotline Miami will make you bleed and leave you enthralled with its violence, its responsive controls and, more than that, with its fun and frantic blood fest. A great port, expecially on PSVita.

While the retro 2D top-down environments aren’t much different than an old school RPG or adventure game, the visual filters, soundtrack and ultra violence really make you feel less like an adventuring hero and more like you’re slowly becoming a murderer-for-hire with a tenuous grip on sanity.

Hotline Miami is a discotheque of death that's very hard to walk away from, and a fantastic twitch shooter with a confident sense of style.

If you've already played the PC version there isn't enough new to consider a second go - unless you really loved it - but it's an impressive port all the same and a fantastic coup for the PS Vita.

Hotline Miami is visionary, frantic and full of personality. The game is slightly improved on console, and the Vita version looks absolutely brilliant.

By turns exciting, disturbing and maniacally enjoyable, Hotline Miami is a true pleasure. Whether it’s a guity one or not is on your conscience.

The Dennaton Games title is a fascinating and magnetic action game, which captures and enhances anyone who wants to explore the dramatic and angry perversions of its protagonist.

The game itself is fantastic and addictive fun, the new controls are solid, despite a few issues with the touch features, and the graphics are perfectly suited for the Vita’s screen.

Don’t be mislead by its appearance: Hotline Miami is not Kill Frenzy: The Game. Before going on a murderous rampage, you must inspect your surroundings and plan out your attack. Having multiple enemies in one room require a lot of patience and skill, which is why the game will take you longer to finish than you might’ve thought. If you have a choice, play it on a Vita. The touch screen enhances the controls just enough to where it is deemed more easily playable.

If you're new to Hotline Miami, and you want to play on handheld, you should definitely check the game out on Vita. If you have a PC, though, that remains the best way to play the game on a big screen, as the controls work better with a mouse and keyboard.

Hotline Miami is brutal, gory, masterful, essential. You'll play for the arcade mob shootings, and stay for the psychedelic style.

It may be a bit rough around the edges, but Hotline Miami still makes for an immensely interesting addition to the PSN library, and its short, pick-up-and-play levels are an especially good fit for the Vita.

The transition from PC to console is successful. Everything is there: The enormous amount of pixel brutality, the unforgiving mechanics, the gorgeous soundtrack – and the sometimes frustrating trial-and-error that keeps Hotline Miami from being truly great.
