Apr 9, 2012If you've been dribbling to play a soccer game on that big, shiny widescreen, you're in luck – but be warned that, though FIFA Football plays well through its flaws, in a matter of months there will almost certainly be an expanded, improved and numbered update that's not been rushed for launch.
-
Mar 2, 2012On one hand the game looks great and does a good job of using the PS Vita's capabilities, but on the other hand it's based on an outdated engine and lacks some of the modes that made FIFA really interesting.
-
Feb 24, 2012This is the best soccer game available for a handheld, but being based on FIFA 11 it's a bit annoying to readapt yourself to the old controls if you play a lot with FIFA 12.
-
Feb 24, 2012The old-style defending, rushing players by holding X and square, now feels rather simplistic, and close control is a bit unresponsive next to what we're now used to.
-
Feb 22, 2012It would have been nice to see the team at EA Sports put a bit more time into refining the engine and bringing over a larger bulk of the game modes. It would have also been nice to see the touch screen controls used a bit better, and the back touch pad's sensitivity turned down.
-
Feb 15, 2012It's clearly been quickly thrown together for the launch, with many features missing or out-of-date, but this is still an encouraging start for FIFA on the Vita.
-
Feb 13, 2012It's got enough content for you to get through a few career mode seasons while you wait for a likely iteration timed for the 2013 season that's loaded with features. But make no mistake, it's not FIFA 12, and despite the cover athletes, you'll be disappointed if you dive into this one with expectations of the latest console experience.
