Ethan: Meteor Hunter plays around with some interesting concepts, but although its pitched as Super Meat Boy meets Braid, it fails to do either justice. With frustrating controls and irritating puzzles, we recommend avoiding this one like the plague.

Take your superpowered rat on a quest for power and revenge on Playstation Vita!

Your are Ethan, a rat hit by meteors granting him telekinetic powers and the ability to stop time and move stuff around him. Now he is looking for more meteors that fell in the area to gain more power and get payback on his neighbor who destroyed his home!

Freeze time and manipulate objects all around the map with infinite possibilities: solve puzzles however you choose there is no hand-holding (after the initial tutorial of course). During the course of navigating this time-stopping platformer,?you will die a few times, but it will only make you feel that much better as you progress further.
The game is difficult, but not the hair pulling kind, plus you respawn as soon as you die so no worries. Eventually, you'll even start to like tourturing the poor little guy. Ethan's Telekinetic powers use real time physics. You will be able to pause time and move objects around to solve puzzles and build the solutions you want. Each level can be solved in a variety of ways. Over 50 levels and 3 worlds await you. For all you completionist types, finding all the meteor fragments, and 100% of the achievements and secret bonuses. Is going to be a real chore to keep you busy for weeks!. Time-attack, fragment collection and other modes only add to Ethan's replay value! The online leaderboards will be the final destination for those who wish to beat your friends and claim mousey, meteor hunting superiority!

Good: clever level layout, fun story, replay value
Bad: difficultly of at times, but it's no deal breaker
Verdict: radioactive rat, superpowers, time stopping, and a smart game that keeps you coming back for more, what more do you want?

It's a shame its not on next gen consoles, so they should at least make a special edition PS Vita. I'm not sure about 'Ethan' however. Maybe 'Bennedict' or 'Eugene' would have been better. But that's just my personal preference. Full Review »
