Jul 2, 2013The Vita version of Epic Mickey 2 is a good game. The absence of online multiplayer is a huge loss though.
-
Jun 26, 2013The Power of 2 it's still a solid platformer/action adventure on PS Vita, but it has the same frustrations made over the home console editions.
-
Jun 27, 2013With the game being reasonably priced, it's a great choice to enjoy the game on the go if we missed it before. There are not great additions, so if you've already played it you will find the same experience with new controls.
-
Jun 26, 2013A big, ambitious blunder of a game that very occasionally sings with inspired ideas. Its transition to the Vita brings little other than touch screen control and a more attractive game-world.
-
Oct 7, 2013Seeing as it’s been close to a year since the original console release, one would have hoped that the Vita version had more polish. Sadly, this port only brings more issues to an already imperfect game.

Aug 20, 2013Promise is let down by its execution. [Sept 2013, p.94]

Aug 19, 2013The art is beautiful and there is certain nostalgia visiting the Disney worlds that not everyone knows about.
-
Jul 16, 2013Even with this porting for PS Vita, Epic Mickey 2 fails to improve the previous versions. It remains a good game for the children, and at its price is a good deal also for those who loves Disney’s characters.

Jul 5, 2013Despite the flaws of Epic Mickey 2 I’ve found myself enjoying the game more than I would have thought. The story is charming enough to keep encouraging you through Oswald’s idling and the poor depth of field, with the Mad Doctor’s songs arguably the best moments of the game. The touch screen abilities don’t quite work and you’ll find yourself quickly reverting back to old fashioned buttons.
-
Jul 2, 2013The PlayStation 3 version of the game was a disappointment and the same verdict applies to the Vita edition. Since this version has its own "improvements", we were expecting more. And granted, there's some neat features involving the touch screen, but otherwise it's the same mediocre game. It's fun for a while, but you have to be able to overlook its shortcomings.
-
Jul 2, 2013Same problems of the HD consoles version. Mickey deserve better games than this.
-
Jul 23, 2013For one thing, it's a 3D platformer/action game on a system that is sorely lacking in such things. For another, it still looks and sounds wonderful; even though I'm hardly a Disney fanboy, the way the whole world pops off the screen still fills me with feelings of fondness for the game, however misguided those feelings may be. That's not enough to make me go in the exact opposite direction and recommend the game unequivocally, but it is enough for me to say that if you go into the game with no expectations whatsoever, you should, at the very least, find it to be passably decent.

Jul 6, 2013This portable version of Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two suffers from graphics and controls issues, adding new problems to an already unconvincing experience.
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaAug 12, 2013At its core, Epic Mickey 2 is still an enjoyable throwback to the golden days of mascot platformers – albeit an incredibly unfocused one – but it simply doesn’t shine on the small screen. [September 2013, p74]
-
Jul 4, 2013Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two might suit the kids, but it's too dull and fiddly for anyone else to truly enjoy.
-
Jun 25, 2013With little to no improvements made over the home console editions, Epic Mickey 2 on Vita remains an underwhelming experience and one that is difficult to recommend. More effort on gameplay and less on simply jamming Disney characters in our face would have helped.
-
Jul 26, 2013Unfortunately Mickey’s reputation as a gaming character takes a battering from this version of an already poor game, one which does nothing different and better than what already existed. Indeed the developers should probably have not bothered. If you’ve already had the misfortune to experience this tale on home console there is no way you would want to come back and no reason to do so. If you haven’t, it’s still not going to bring you any joy. We did have high hopes for Mickey’s gaming career but that hope does not survive even five minutes into this title.
-
Jul 1, 2013There’s definitely some promise buried deep beneath Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two’s surface drudgery, but this needless PlayStation Vita port fails to uncover it any better than its PS3 counterpart. In fact, the underwhelming adventure actually fares worse on Sony’s pocketable platform, delivering a framerate that flirts with single digits and some pretty inconsequential touch screen features.
