NIS and Disgaea never disappoint, and this is yet another game RPG fans shouldn't miss. If you've played the original game, you'll find many new things here, even though the core experience is pretty much the same.

It has everything the original had, plus more content to expend 100 hour leveling, taking political decisions or creating characters. More stories, elements from other Disgaea titles and a vivid and crispy visual aspect thanks to Vita's wonderful screen, A Promise Revisited is a must have for fans of the Strategy JRPG, and for all those fans of the first version that want to tale those Prinnies everywhere.

Two things will never change with Disgaea: The visuals are outdated. And the intertwined mechanics and systems are among the best you will ever see in tactical role-playing games.

An ultimate edition of the original PS3 version. The added free goodies rewards fans and those who skipped it on the PS3. Disgaea and RPG fans will be in love, but the extra trinkets won't be enough to win over non-fans of the long running series.

The characters are great, the gameplay is smart and the story is both parts touching and hilarious. While the game can have slightly confusing controls and some lackluster features, it doesn't diminish this experience of a funny RPG that has so much content for $39.99.

Even though the series as a whole could arguably do with an overhaul by now, Disgaea 4 still is one of the best tactical role-playing games around.

I'm really glad I decided to take on Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited despite the steep, steep learning curve and the "fend for yourself" approach. I'm guessing that its audience will likely be fervent series fans and very few newcomers (like me!) but it has a lot to offer to any fan of SRPGs.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited is a nice porting of the already awesome Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten published for PS3 in 2011. The game is still great, and works perfectly on the Sony's handheld.

Still the funniest and best-looking entry in the series, even if it’s the least innovative. And despite a few graphical flaws the PS Version is the definitive edition.

There's some framerate issues here and there, but nothing that completely ruins the experience. A must-have for Disgaea fans who own a Vita.

A Promise Revisited adds to the Disgaea 4 structure some of the improvements already seen in Disgaea D2. The game that came out is surely more complete and deep, but is designed for old fans and won't convince new players.

Games like Disgaea 4 are what the Vita was built for.
