The third (and final?) entry into the Danganronpa Visual Novel series for the Sony platforms, D3 not only has shown the type of growth that i've come to expect from this series, but arguably sets the standard for all other Visual mystery novels going forward. From the amazing opening case, to the wonderfully written and performed cast of characters, to the CRAZY ending that definitely caught me off guard, but in a good way, D3 really shines in all aspects of the story mode. While I definitely would have liked to have seen a number of the mini games that were invovled in the story removed entirely. Some of which just seemed to have been there to artificially extend the cases (most notably the supremely boring taxi mini game....), it's easily done considering how supremely amazing the individual cases were. I seriously cant recommend it enough for people to go out and play this series. It's a MUST that you play the first 2 games in the series before playing this one. The ending loses a ton of impact if you haven't played those. But, for those looking to give the Vita a proper send off here, I'd highly recommend going through even if you only sorta kinda care about stories in video games. This is probably one of the most well written stories I've ever seen and it immediately became one of my favorite games of all time. Expand

A divisive ending, that's what it will come down to in the reviews. I hated the ending at first, it was something I didn't expect (which is always a plus) and I didn't like the direction they took. I mulled it over and decided that the twist was creative enough to be applauded. A good set of unique characters once again and the environment to explore is mysterious as ever (not as cool as the island in number 2, but still decent). Some of the new minigames in the trials are good (Debate Scrum has amazing music and mind mine is just a fun diversion) and others are kinda boring (psyche taxi, rather be snowboarding).
Daganronpa is a fantastic serious. And V3 makes sure it doesn't get stale. Whether that's a good thing or a bad, time will tell. I think it's sitting around an 80/100 for me right now. That may go up, I don't see it going down.
If you haven't given this serious a chance, it's worth the time for something over the top and unique.

The game still has that 'Danganronpa greatness' I come to expect from the series in the style of the mystery and the humor. While not my favourite cast in terms of how developments related to them happen, it's still good and fitting.

I'm loving this game so far. In Chapter 3, and it has already thrown a few curve balls. Sure, It's not quite as good as 2, but that is one of the best games ever. Its great to have another proper Danganronpa game to play.

Fantastic climax to an amazing trilogy. The first and fifth cases in particular, are simply outstanding.

Danganronpa V3 was a great experience. Great characters development, well-written story and great mysteries to solve. While I'm not a big fan of the ending, I'm good with it unlike some of the fans. Gameplay mechanics has been refined as well in V3 and I love the UI compared to the previous games. Beware that this game took me like 70+ hours to finish and it was worth it. I wish there wasDanganronpa V3 was a great experience. I wish there was another game that can capture the magnificence of Danganronpa V3. Also, prepare for the feels.

Reminder that if you haven't played Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair then I'd suggest to play that first.

A very good game. Not as strong like Danganronpa 2, but also good. The first classtrial is one of the best in the whole series

Just about the only new thing this time around is the ending, which arguably recontextualizes the entire series in a way that’s sure to leave some people infuriated. Personally, though? I don’t think that a controversial, divisive ending changes the fact that everything that comes before it is basically just 35+ hours of more of the same. If you’re a PS4 owner, of course, all of this will seem new and kind of scandalous, so I can see why it may appeal to some people, but for Vita owners hoping that the previous Danganronpa game marked a new direction for the series, Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony will represent a bit of a step back to the safe and familiar (to the extent, obviously, that Danganronpa could ever be described as safe).

While I can’t discuss story details, Danganronpa V3 shines by highlighting the memorable cast while twisting the story around in surprising ways. The structure doesn’t change much from the prior two entries and it doesn’t need the minigame padding, but that doesn’t stop this from being a fantastic experience. Fans of the series owe it to themselves to play V3, as it was clearly created with them in mind and holds up perfectly alongside Trigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair.

Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony is the ultimate murder mystery experience with many new ways to get through the class trials, a large world that expands the more you play, and an interesting story behind it all. If you're intrigued and can put up with the vulgar sophomoric content then this is a must-buy game.
