Apr 1, 2015Damascus Gear is a solid portable mech combat game that quickly proved to be more fun and addictive than I was anticipating. It's not the most difficult or longest game you'll play on the Vita, but it's fun and satisfying, especially for $15.
-
May 4, 2015Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo kept me busy in short bursts, but I only got halfway through the campaign before I'd had my fill. It's great for 5 or 10 minutes at a time, but without more combat depth and variety in mission and level design, it's a good first start that's not quite ready for prime time.
-
Apr 15, 2015Is it a deep, engaging experience? No, of course not. But on the flip side, Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo features giant robot battles. What more do you need?
-
May 29, 2015Customizing your mech is pure fun, and there are a lot of options, but the combat system is quite lame, as is the technical side.
-
May 8, 2015With an undeniably cool concept at its core, Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo is difficult to dismiss, even if its flaws will have you reaching for the self detonation device.
-
Apr 14, 2015The bad part is about Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo is that there’s just not a lot to sink your teeth into.
-
Mar 30, 2015It provides a very enjoyable, if short, experience and offers the potential base for a good series if Arc System Works wants to take it to the next level.
-
May 22, 2015While the mech construction is almost decent the action is far from it. Visually and mechanically this is bottom tier.
