Child of Light for PlayStation Vita is simply one of the best games you can buy for the platform.

So Child of Light is an inferior game on the PlayStation Vita, but only when compared to itself on the home consoles. The core game is as artful and superior as ever, and it's still better than 99 per cent of other games you can get on Sony's handheld.

Ubisoft Montreal creates something that we could consider as a interactive poem with a RPG nature. A marvellous travel to the fantasy imagined by artists and brought to reality thanks to the UbiArt Framework. Pure beauty.

Child of Light is one of those games you end up loving because of the beauty of it's images, and because you never lose sight of the effort and good job behind it's work.

This 'Western-JRPG' has been faithfully ported. Lack of cross-save/buy is annoying. [September 2014, p73]

Even on the PsVita, this old-school RPG shines: bright colours, fascinating atmospheres, and a solid gameplay. A perfect conversion for one of the most intriguing digital titles of this year.

Although the Vita version of Child of Light can’t compete with the PC and home consoles one, this still remains a great game, with stunning visuals, a great soundtrack and a smart combat system.

It took an unusual amount of effort for me to finally play Child of Light, but the game lingers fondly in my memory now that it finally happened. This is a unique and affecting title that is worth seeking out by any who haven’t tried it before. Just be prepared for Ubisoft not to make playing the game an easy task.

Child of Light is worth checking out, even if you don’t normally follow the role-playing genre. And although there are a few downsides, it is still one of the biggest surprises of 2014 so far.

Of course, it's fun to see your characters become stronger over the course of the game, but what gives makes Child of Light meaningful is the way that Aurora grows emotionally stronger.

A beautiful little RPG, which is just as great on Vita.

The story, the characters, and the design can’t be knocked, but the presentation and the decision not to support cross-save means that there’s little reason to give Ubisoft your money again.

Even if the game in itself it’s not groundbreaking, everything is made in order to build an atmosphere. And this kind of feeling has not been lost during in the conversion to PS Vita.

In its mobile version Child of Light still is a charming adventure, combining elements of platforming, roleplaying and turn based tactics.

Character models are slightly less detailed, but everything else stands equal to the home console/PC versions.

Child Of Light features the same engine as Rayman series and i should say the art work is superb, the areas are wonderfully drawn as it is hand crafted, I often spend sometimes staring at the beauty of the artstyle in the game.
Story is set in a sad looking world but its wonderfully told and its meaningful and fantastic. Music is fantastic too. only downside is that the combats might not be that challenging if you play RPG and Turn based RPGs on regular basis .
it takes about 12 to 14 hours to complete the whole game as well.
