A very low score because this game is not as good as the old Broken Sword games. It looks very dated, graphics are okay. The narrative is long, tedious or plain annoying as it does not help or make any difference to solving clues. some parts of the game are good but overall, a very basic point and click adventure game with the odd difficult clue and nothing much more. ent's Curse: Episode 1 continues on in this tradition, I say bring on the anachronisms. If they're all as well made as The Serpent's Curse is, then that's a throwback I'm happy to see.

The troublesome touch controls result in a lesser experience, but at its core Broken Sword 5 is still a solid adventure game.

There’s clearly been a lot of love invested into Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse – Episode 1, and it will take franchise fans on a trip down memory lane as a result.
