    Same as the console version, just like it was CSE - so despite the lack of reviews on here you can just check the PS3 version for accurate criticism. One big technical improvement over that last game CSE on the Vita is that the music here does not go full blast when you return from sleep mode, which makes it so much better for pick up and play sessions.     BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for the Playstation Vita is a brilliant addition for the Vita's game library. Even if you already have the PS3 version, having the game on the Vita can make things very worth while when you're out traveling to places and practicing your combos so that you can show it off during online play on both PS3 and Vita. The great thing about this version is that you can use all the available DLCs for free if you have already downloaded them for the PS3 version.
    Despite the Vita version being watered down, in terms of graphics, the game still looks amazing on the Vita's OLED screen (not the slim) and it's not noticeable to tell the difference. The character sprites look amazing as always and the stages are just as beautiful that it shouldn't affect anyone.
    The story mode has some new additions where they added a recap chapter for BlazBlue fans and newcomers alike to get refreshed on the previous BlazBlue games and the events that have happened up till the beginning of Chrono Phantasma and a bonus beach gag reel to enjoy reading as well.
    The combat is just as clean and smooth as the PS3/Arcade version. So it should be no problem to enjoy the game to the fullest.
    There are some minor gripes about the Vita version. First, the online mode is still a bit lackluster without the inclusion of the lobby from the PS3 version, less people online, and sometimes the lag is annoying too. Second, the Vita version only has the English voice option for story mode and if you set the voices to Japanese, only the tutorial and battles will feature Japanese voices. Third, the audio quality is not as great as the PS3/Arcade version, but it sounds a lot better than Continuum Shift EXTEND on the Vita and it doesn't have the awful audio bug that EXTEND had. Lastly, some of the re-arranged musical themes aren't as great as their original, but you can still download those originals as DLC. Again, these are just minor gripes about the Vita version, but it shouldn't affect the score much.

    Wow this 3rd BlazBlue Story is Look Great...i love it. Is more 5 New Character and 2 DLC...if u like fighting with spirit then pick up this games. Music is look great too than before in BlazBlue CSE, and Arcade Mode in 3rd installment is look Awesome with different ending in every character. Just Enjoy it and Have Fun..

    Ragna the Bloodedge is the John Mc Clane of anime. seriously Chrono Phantasma looks and run beautiful on the Vita. as previous entries this is a brillante mix of fighter and visual novel. The story is complex, evocative and brillant. The fighting system is something out of the boundaries of the genere...really original. And the caracters....Well they are some odd ciberpunk samurai to remember

    While I do not hate the franchise, I felt this game was the weak-point of the series in multiple areas.
    As a fan of the games for four years I was quick to buy the game, the opening song is sung by Faylan, it was not the most memorable theme and the animation didn't quite fit with the tempo of the song.

    The main menu screen is quite different from all the versions of Continuum Shift, though that is to be expected. There is new music in just about everything, except for recycled music tracks in Story Mode.
    Images in Gallery Mode have a noticeably lower graphic quality than that of the Console version, unlike Continuum Shift Extend or Calamity Trigger.
    The gameplay changes aren't enjoyable, despite the patches the game is still unbalanced and some character's movesets differ greatly from CSE/CT, such as Jin. Overall, versus mode gets tiring quickly, even to a longtime fighting-game fan. The new character's play-style aren't exactly unique and the game's DLC is very pricy, there is more than $100 worth of content available on the PSN Marketplace.The online matches are no better, as it is hard finding players in the Vita community to face.
    Story mode is something I looked forward to, I loved the story mode of Calamity Trigger as well as the one of Continuum Shift, so I was extremely disappointed with what I saw in this game. First of all, there are no longer separate story modes, so there is an unequal focus between characters, there are also unnecessary scenes that do nothing to enhance the story. The story felt anti-climatic and rushed, the word choice is definitely lower than that of CS and CT. Some character interactions felt very forced and didn't contain the appeal of the previous games. Another complaint I have is that there are no Japanese voices available in story mode though it was never mentioned, they also have no intention of adding the Japanese voices for DLC. This game's story wasn't scripted well and didn't answer the questions left behind by the story mode endings of Continuum Shift. I feel this game had many retcons and the story took a bad turn, I had high hopes for the third installment, but this sequel was a flop, like the anime adaptation for similar reasons.

    If you aren't a big fan of the series or looking into it, I'd advise you not to buy this game, but I do recommend checking out the other two games, Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift.
    If you are a fan of the series and still are hoping to get Chrono Phantasma, I'd recommend you get the PS3 console version rather than this one. Sorry, but this wasn't what I had hoped for    … Expand

    I enjoy the game the changes are interesting and I like a lot of the new characters. Buuuut this game doesn't really feel like they accomplished much outside of rescuing tsubaki and Noel having control over her Mu-12 form.

    I liked the attempt that it had a mixed "true ending" kind of feel that you understand the direction but you don't necessarily know who your going to play as next    I enjoy the game the changes are interesting and I like a lot of the new characters. But in the long run it feels like even if you play the character's arcade mode they had almost no place in the story at all. Take Amane and Taokaka for example they show up maybe twice and contribute very little. That's disappointing for a new character even though I find him very intriguing especially since he has this impression that he'll be involved in the next game (hopefully and possibly the last.). I only make that statement since Rachel said that Ragna is going to die soon and celica only has approximately 4 months left to be alive and since the two are kind of lover interests there is no way the story is not being resolved before that time frame is up.

    Also I know I'm not the only one but I don't really care for all of the remixed songs. Sure some of them sound better but there are only a few. But some of the new tracks I really love like six warriors and sector 7.    … Expand

    BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is a great package if you love the series. New characters, streamlined mechanics, and the same animated fighting action you've been playing since 2008. DLC brings things down a bit, but if you want to play a console fighting game on the go, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is a perfect candidate.
