    Sure, its art is pretty cool, but certainly not cool enough to make up for its annoying challenges.

    It's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but its short duration and uneven difficulty doesn't match up with its unique world.

    Back to Bed on the PlayStation Network is a competent albeit unremarkable puzzler that's over before it can get satisfying. Great art and a decent bonus mode at least help to make the experience somewhat enjoyable, though the hefty $20 price is hardly worth paying when you can get it for much less elsewhere.

    While Back To Bed is not a terrible puzzler by any stretch of the imagination, it is terribly underwhelming.

MaybeCan you explain to me why early 20th century Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher became a fad for everyone’s t-shirt in the early 90’s? Maybe because the illustration are just mind bending awesome. This is probably the same thinking behind Bedtime Digital Games decision to build a game around the style of M.C. Escher with some additional flavors of Salvador Dalí.

    Not to be confused with the other recent M.C. Escher influenced puzzle game The Bridge, this is the more colorful game and in my opinion better looking. The visuals are great and really make this game worth playing even if the gameplay is using a tired well worn concept used by puzzle games for decades. Basically a character is continuously moving in one direction that requires redirection using obstacles to reach the exit. The puzzles here are not hard and often can be solved with some simple trial and error. The game comes with 30 puzzles and an additional 30 levels the reuse the same levels but are slightly harder. It won’t take you long to get through this game and even the developer challenges you with a trophy to complete the game entirely in 45 minutes. There are few cutscenes of static images but no real story. Music and sound is sparse but sets the mood of the game quite well.

    I played the entire game on Vita and it performed excellently. Includes cross save to PS4/PS3 just in case you need it to get through the couple of hours of gameplay.

    Overall, I quite enjoyed the game and I feel it is worth $15 for light puzzle fun especially as someone who always wondered what it would be like to be in a M.C. Escher illustration.    … Full Review »

    You do this by placing apples in his way to force him to change his path
    along your way you’ll run into obstacles such as alarm clocks, whale trains, dogs, and manholes.
    You can fall off of the edge as many times as you wish, but run into anything that can way the sleeper up and you have to retry,
    The game really does a great job of slowly spoon feeding you difficulty…
    You are introduced to the mind warping optical allusions, fish you can make bridges with, and mouths that of course blow the sleep walker over to a new path.
    Unfortunately though I don’t believe there is enough real meat to the game
    I feel like the game is a tad bit under developed in the sense of continuing to innovate to keep you hooked.
    It would have been really neat to have been thrown into more than just 2 different dreams worlds, if the team really played with the dream theme beyond the stereotypical weird geometrics and melting clocks.
    perhaps go into different dream cycles.
    Maybe my vision for the games potential is far beyond what this game was intended to be in the first place.
    a simple mobile puzzle game.
    Not here to really do anything other than stump you and tease your brain.
    You can complete the games 30 levels easily in about an hour.
    After you have completed the fairly simple story mode, you can replay all 3 levels in nightmare mode, and this time, things aren’t so simple.
    Not only do you have to guide the sleepwalker through the familiar 30 levels, you now have to guide him to 1, 2 or, even 3 keys to unlock his door.
    This is really where the challenge is at, and where the game is at beyond the initial experience.
    If you love stressing your brain out, Back to Bed will provide some pretty relaxing brain stimulation.
