    Where Winds Meet does a lot of great stuff that should be commended for its freedom of choice, characters interaction and fantastic combat. However, it also struggles with its Free-To-Play mechanics, resulting in a grindy and stalled progression system.

    Some of Where Winds Meet's many minigames and stealth systems could use a polish, but it doesn't Suck-iro – this martial arts action-RPG is well worth your time. If future updates focus on its strengths and reign in the gimmicks, this joyous open world will be a pleasure to fight your way through.

    Where Winds Meet combines wuxia spectacle, deep RPG gameplay, and a living world, offering an immersive experience, but a few remaining technical glitches still impact the overall feel. We want to love it and lose ourselves in this rich world, but it still needs a little more polish to reveal its true potential.

    What I’ll take away from my time with Where Winds Meet is how much I enjoyed just roaming the open world and seeing the beautiful vistas, and how great those first hours of combat were. If developer Everstone Studio and publisher NetEase can figure out a way to make it so that future updates and additions to the game match that feeling, then there is real potential here.

    Where Winds Meet offers an ambitious third-person adventure in which we become heroes or heroines of 10th-century China. A vast open-world RPG, full of possibilities, which we can enjoy alone, with friends, or with unknown players. Absolute freedom to act, decide, and forge our legend allows us to customize our martial arts, choose our path, and move through the world by running on water, walking on walls, or even flying like in a Chinese martial arts movie. Unfortunately, the gameplay is hampered by this ambition with mini-games that don't quite work well and a use of AI that seems to go beyond dialogues with NPCs.
