    Practically every positive user review for this game is fake. Metacritic clearly has a problem with astroturfing and instead of trying to fix it they hide it by now making it impossible to see users' review history. Otherwise you'd see all the 10's here have only reviewed this game across multiple platforms.

    The game is far from a 10. Something like a 4/10 would be generous. Lots of    Practically every positive user review for this game is fake.     The game is far from a 10. Something like a 4/10 would be generous. Lots of poor game design, but playable if you're a diehard action fan and have literally nothing else to do with your free time. When I heard some former Team Ninja devs were onboard I assumed it would be nobodies, but they actually have a couple big names from the early days of TN, so it makes it all the more disappointing that this is the best they can do now.

    This game is complete and utter garbage. Production values, AI, control, balancing, everything misses the mark. I really felt scammed.

    How exactly they manage to make it so bad is a mystery. Game is beyond repair cause it's core mechanics are flawed.

    Dont insult the Ps2 and Xbox era of game by realting it to this trash. Good games from that era were ballanced and finish. Wanted Dead is just budget shovelware. This is a half finished unbalanced mess. It more of a beta test than a game...This game flopped financialy and criticaly but this studio also needs to be shut down, a product this bad should not hit the market. There are many moments in this game where the whole screen is white from a flash or explosion and when your finally able to see wtf is going on your health has gone from 100 to zero and you have no idea wtf happend...This could have been a fun hack and slash game but the ridiculas difficulty mixed with awkward controls just makes for an expensive short game that you will drop out of frustration. This studio dosent have the skill or prestige to be making a game thuis cheap/ hard.
    There is an insulting Neko mode that makes the game slightly easier. But these devs can get lost , insulting the player for having problems progressing in their cheap, broken , badly ballanced game...A game that deserves the failure in sales it got.    … Expand

    Picked this up after seeing the positive user scores on Metacritic. It was fun for about twenty minutes until I realised just how shallow the combat is. Throw in the terrible frame rate stutter, bullet sponge enemies, and god awful audio, and I really can’t recommend this. I did complete it (it took about four hours skipping through the unwatchable bad cutscenes), but boy was it a chore! Avoid.

I could not get past the tutorial part where it wanted me to press 5 buttons in sequence, I did it exactly so about 10 times and then decided to try the story, which was also terrible. Absolutely terrible aiming system, I killed less than 10 enemies(with guns) before i decided shooting is useless. Same guySad they call this a finished product.     One of the worst games this year! The game gets boring after couple of hours, clunky gameplay, ugly and unlikeable characters including the lead, stupid story, and bad grfx!!

    This is even worse than Cyberpunk 2077. It is unpolished, buggy, and the literal definition of absolutely boring. Do not waste your money on this piece of garbage.

    First off, the positive reviews are trolls or paid reviewers. The game in the state it is in, is just bad. Horrible frame rates (even when I'm in the police station in an empty room, crashes all the time, bugs where enemies that spawn get stuck in unreachable places, which stop you from proceeding since all enemies must be eliminated, sometimes I'll go completely invisible during combatFirst off, the positive reviews are trolls or paid reviewers.     Enemies: holy hell they only included 3 death animations sounds for the enemies you'll hear the same 3 grunts from them, for the entirety of the whole game, not a huge deal but like come on lmao.
    yeah, bullet sponge is accurate the white ninjas are too strong to have to fight multiple at a time.
    The grenade launcher enemies are bs, ill get one shot from them off screen and die instantly.
    Upgrade system is boring, the weapons don't feel stronger as you progress, you cant even upgrade the sword at all. Which is the main weapon you use?
    The corny stuff is fine, the voice acting so bad is comical. ( I watch 80s cheese stuff everyday)
    Main reason why I'm leaving a review is because I spent $60 on this game thinking it would be playable, went to the developers twitter, to see if we would get a patch..... Only thing they were doing was trolling customers and acting like there was no problem with there game, even saying they should've charged $70.

    What a joke.

    If only they would spend more money on decent voice-over or plot instead of paying off critics and reviewers maybe this would be worth 10E.

    I don't think I ever saw a dumber story and worse voice over... maybe Star Wolves , but that gameplay was too awesome to care.

    I hope this goes down as one of the worse games in 2023. It's definitely worth it.

    this is a bad game and I have completed Devil's third, but what is sad is that they have put so much effort into this game and it is just feels wasted.

    The worst part is the combat cannot really decide what it's Wanna Be I have the feeling. This is a slash kind of play game like devil's third , but then you pick up a shooter and have to shoot a lot of that time, but it doesn't feel    this is a bad game and I have completed Devil's third, but what is sad is that they have put so much effort into this game and it is just feels wasted.

    The worst part is the combat cannot really decide what it's Wanna Be I have the feeling. This is a slash kind of play game like devil's third , but then you pick up a shooter and have to shoot a lot of that time, but it doesn't feel responsive because you have to shoot an enemy about 10 times in the head to kill them.

    At the combo's just feel weak in melee. It is just nothing about what you're doing most of the time the gameplay that feels good.

    But the cut scenes and the animations and all of that stuff in the movie sentence of the game just looks so good and it is so weirdly done because I can hear it all of the actors have German accents. So just pulls me into find out what the f*** this miss is but the gameplay is so dreadful that I had to stop there was a time where I go to a park full of invoice with sledgehammers and yellow helmins and I just had to say f*** it. I hate this little stop playing.    … Expand

    Wanted: Dead had great potential but was utterly bogged down by poor gameplay choices and bad technical design. It crashed twice on PS5 in a two-hour play session. All in all, you are better off playing any Ninja Gaiden game until this goes on sale.
