This game tries to hit the sweet spot in between multiplayer and solo and for me, it misses both doing so...

On Solo experience, the gathering and ressources is awesome but of course, TIME is lacking to do everything that needs to be done in time before eternal winter...
    You just can't craft/build everything (Doors/towers/buildings/weapons/armor/bridge)

I managed to reach Day14 but from there on, I was constantly under attack and couldn't leave the camp!

I think they shouldve made the days last longer in solo!
I know I could switch to "endless" mode but meh...

Unreasonable goals to unlock everything in the game, you either find an elite group of people that want the same goal as you, or your locked out of the content. Either that or you have to pour hours and hours into becoming an elite viking and do everything on solo. Either way I can't recommend this game unless your have a group or you're willing to waste time finding one.

Pretty decent budget tier game — better played with friends. It definitely does get repetitive over time but I had a friend platinum it (which includes getting to 50 on a seasonal pass) so if you enjoy unlocking classes and completing challenges, there’s enough of it here to do so. They aren’t the type to platinum something they don’t enjoy. The game is essentially about learning where everything is, what the recipes are, and then being able to do it all as fast as possible each day and night, where you’ll need to return to the base to defend it. Very much reminds me of the Kingdom series (and Kingdom Two Crowns) but brought to a top down style view instead of a 2D side scroller. Worth the $30 I think it was, and definitely moreso on sale, if it looks like a good time to you. For what it was, it was enjoyable. I didn’t give a higher score as I don’t feel it compares to full scale AAA 9/10 or 10/10 titles in terms of content, graphics, etc. but 6 (6.5 if I could give it) is a perfectly fine score the way I grade them so give it a shot if it interests you. Yeah one of those games you should wait for till it's free. It demands a lot of reruns and time. A run can take over 2 hours and it's not really fun sinds your always bizzy upgrading and defending you base.

I am new to the ARPG genre, never played Diablo or any of the OGs. Tribes has been an awesome introduction for the genre for me. The crafting systems and resource management systems are challenging but not too difficult to learn after several runs. Gameplay and combat is fast and frantic. Sound, story, and depth are good for a 20-dollar game. Overall, I am 6 hours into the game and lovingI am new to the ARPG genre, never played Diablo or any of the OGs. It's a fun game when you get a good team. Very repetitive in the sense where one class outperforms the other ones and has your running the same build every game. Fun with friends, not so much with strangers.

An enjoyable game with friends, not as much fun solo. The content gets repetitive pretty fast but I do appreciate they are trying to add things. I wish they had more modes and maybe a pvp aspect where you could battle village versus village.

i like the game very much and the open dev team as well , i only think the game should try to get more replayability cause after completing all challenges there is not that much to do except for waiting for a new season but whit the new survival 2.0 i expect to see this change .

This game only gets better with age! The developers are amazing and have made constant improvements by listening to their community. If you haven’t played recently, pick it up!

Tribes of Midgard is definitely an interesting addition to cooperative multiplayer titles with imaginative mechanics across game genres such as: survival, roguelike, rpg and more. Unfortunately, instead of choosing the best from each genre, it constantly balances among all at the same time, and it doesn't always work out. However, for a cooperating bunch of friends, it's a title you shouldn´t definitely miss.

Tribes of Midgard possesses a promising concept and great tincture of rogue-lite elements and survival genre. At the same time, it is a great co-op experience, and frustratingly annoying due to its bad balancing issues and potentially steep difficulty curve for new players to the genre. It still shines in most of its parts with its astonishing visual design and catchy gameplay loop.

Tribes of Midgard’s biggest problem is tied to its core gameplay loop – time. There’s just never enough of it. The game has a world full of goodies and gear to loot, but you’ll be lucky to see half of it, and even less if you’re a solo player. There are still good times to be had and the loop is fun and rewarding – just make sure you take a few mates with you.
