Cringe modern woke calu writing at it worst.. You will need a hazmat suit to protect you from the blue haired femisist cringe emanating from every second of this game...Game play is as generic as BL3 and gun are just vomit proejtors.

This was as delightful to play as it was laugh with all the hilarious writing for the three main characters (two of which are played be comedians) and all the delightful side characters Tina created along the way. I've played very few shooters that felt casual or silly yet somehow this game managed to capture the lightning in the bottle just right to make it a success. When all was said and done this adventure didn't feel like some great masterpiece, rather a fun outing with friends that I was delighted to go on, and one I hope they continue with more entries. Even though I can definitely see this as the "black sheep/red-headed stepchild" of the franchise, I feel it does what Borderlands in general does right while avoiding the technical issues that plagued 3. I also love the whole board game style overmap where you run around as a miniature of yourself and engaging or avoiding random combat encounters. As for the story itself, it's not really great. It leans too much on Tina changing the way the game is played because of how insecure she is with the other characters that the humor does get stale and repetitive towards the end. Overall, a good entry in my opinion. I would never buy the Season Pass though. I'm not about to spend $30 on just one more hour of playtime. Expand

They just phoned this in. I was excited when this was announced. The version they made for Borderlands was so much better. This was a huge disappointment. The story is super generic and lazy. The jokes are chuckle under your breath but not actual funny. The weapons are a neat idea but basically they all are pretty terrible and you'll be lucky if you get guns that aren't trash. The jokes are chuckle under your breath but not actual funny. The weapons are a neat idea but basically they all are pretty terrible and you'll be lucky if you get guns that aren't trash. The game leans heavily on magic and skills but most of the magic is annoying to use.

There is no reason to go back once you finish. I didn't buy the DLC because they all have so many bad reviews. There are almost no actual legendary weapons and they are so underwhelming that I just didn't' care once I finished the game. The leveling system was like Borderlands but slightly different and more worthless.

Why didn't they just make this like the original DLC and at the very least put the same legendaries in it if not expand them? Why was grinding so much more worthless and a waste of time here? Why are there less side missions? Why are the side missions mostly just a waste of time fighting waves of enemies and not anything fun? Why are so many waves of enemies just the same on repeat? This game is so beyond generic it feels like someone just took every good idea this game might have had and flushed it.

It wasn't worth buying this game. I really didn't enjoy it and played it because I was bored and had finished all my other games. I can't recommend playing this.

Now for the worst. Enemies spawn behind you, constantly. Like it's a system. They will always spawn behind you or vanish and reappear behind you. Enemies will always try to attack you from behind and they're so good at it that it feels like they're cheating. What a terrible false difficulty system. The AI is terrible and the enemies hit you dead on constantly. They can shoot through most walls and objects and can even walk through walls.

The game is super broken. Half the time the menu will load with everything blank and fixing it takes closing out the game and reloading. Inventory management is more of a giant waste of time in this one than others. Don't pick anything up unless it's a rarer upgrade because most of what you get is trash and often you spend your time just marking what to sell. I waited several levels before changing any of my items because even with all the luck in the game most weapons are garbage.

This game is Borderlands 3 light with one very specific concept way too simple. I enjoyed 3 better by far and it felt like the worst one until this one.

The graphics also look blurry and definitely not what you’d expect in a PS5 game. Compared to the old Borderlands, this is just a poor game.

Possibly my biggest disappointment of the year. While the original Borderlands mashed up the Diablo/ARPG and FPS genres, I was kinda hoping Wonderlands would mash up Skyrim/WRPG and FPS genres. Instead, what we got was simply more Borderlands with a fantasy themed wrapper with less out-of-the-box content than vanilla Borderlands 3 for a higher retail price. Instead, what we got was simply more Borderlands with a fantasy themed wrapper with less out-of-the-box content than vanilla Borderlands 3 for a higher retail price. I can't even agree with people who praise the spells system because the spells are no different than the grenade mods from BL3 -- they're just animated differently. A toxic meteor shower spell is just a slower corrosive longbow MIRV grenade mod.

The story and humor was dumbed down significantly to achieve a Teen ESRB rating. Characters like Torgue are completely neutered in service of that rating. There's a lot of "I support current thing" social justice pandering throughout as well. I stupidly bought the Chaotic Great edition at launch based on the strength of past Borderlands DLCs only to discover these DLCs are just tiny additions to the chaos chambers with less content in each DLC than they put into the *FREE* Borderlands 3 seasonal events. Chaos Chambers themselves are a boring slog, possibly the most boring end game activity I've played in Borderlands since BL1's Moxxi's Underdome Riot.

After playing through two classes I was deathly bored with this. Not enough content or end game to have any real staying power compared to other Borderlands games. Hell, even launch Outriders had a deeper end game than this. This game could have been something much better than it was. Instead it just feels like The Pre-Sequel all over again, except more expensive. It's not broken or completely awful but it just isn't great and worth playing more than once. Mediocre in nearly every respect.

I used to be a huge Borderlands fan and I really want to like this game. While I like the humor and loot gameplay part not the quality of drops), the rest of the game totally misses the mark. It’s like have you even played the previous game mates? It’s like after the Prequel, the programmers said screw the quality. We just wanna get paid.

Let's start off with the good: they used the same quality of life improvements they added to BL3. The gameplay is tight and it's fun building your characters. For the first time ever, they have a character creation which is great, it makes it feel more like your character. The boss fights are fun and imaginative for the most part. The level design is also a lot of fun. No Ava.

Now for the bad: The game is crazy short for a BL game and you can be max level well before the final story mission. This isn't a real issue, but it makes the game feel too short and there is no real reason to do end game unless you love grinding the same thing over and over again to gain chaos levels. The game didn't fix the horrible anointed system introduced by BL3. There is a lot more, but the final thing I want to touch on is the horrible DLCs. The DLCs for this game are an insult to the franchise and everything gamers love about BL. Instead of sprawling story DLCs, this time, they decided to shove garbage down our throats. What was once given out for free as the Cartel runs in BL3, are now $10 a pop. $10 for 10 mins of content. Yes, the content is repeatable, but tell me a boss or level in the entire franchise that isn't repeatable. You can't because that's the entire BL experience, grinding bosses to get their loot.

People are defending this because developers deserve money for their work. Sure, I get that. What they don't deserve is to run a franchise into the ground because they decide to charge for something that used to be free. Literally no one would have any issues with the DLC if they were timed events like the Cartel runs in BL3.

As a huge fan of the Borderlands series, this is a big disappointment. I played through the entire game in split-screen, and the UI bugs/issues are just gamebreaking. It feels like zero user-testing was done before release. Some notable ones:
    - No way to inspect an item in the inventory without clicking on it. Going back doesn't leave you at the current item, but at the top of the list.

    - Inspecting an item in the shop is even worse, as going back just exits the shop. I stopped checking shops entirely for this reason
    - Items in the bank constantly lose their image.

In addition to this, chaos levels are very bugged. This is unfortunate since I really liked this aspect. Being at chaos level 14, I had to rerun chaos trials frequently because they didn't unlock. Bosses also bugged out multiple times (disappearing after a death).
The game itself is... mediocre. I didn't think the writing was as awful as people claim, but the lower pegi rating doesn' fit in with the franchise. The overworld was a drag, as was the main story (which was EXTREMELY short. I played DLC's that were longer). I liked the side quests though. Honestly, I still somewhat enjoyed the game, but the bugs are unacceptable.

The game is a fun borderlands dlc while it lasts for about 20 hours to complete all the quests. However the endgame gets stale fast and DO Not buy the season pass edition. The first dlc is finished in 10 minutes and adds nothing to the game but a shorter choas chamber with objectives that are less fun then sticking a needle in you eye

The "dlc", if you can even call the shody reskin that, is 10 mins long for a glorified chaos chamber run.
At £9.99, £24.99 for the season pass, you expect far more for it especially considering the same in BL2 was £3 for the headhunter packs which had far more content than what this has offered.

Scummy practices from a once great developer!!

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is the classic example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" or, this case, try to change up anything. That's not totally meant to be a bad thing as the Borderlands formula is still pretty fun. But the series still can't reach the lofty heights that Borderlands 2 set the bar at way back in the day. While I loved certain moments of the game, it's extremely short, with barely half of the worlds you can visit not mattering in the slightest to the overall story. I also don't like the lack of stuff to do once you beat the game, as its basically grinding the same dungeon over and over, with minor changes to each run, just to not get anything you actually want. I can still recommend this to Borderlands Fans, especially if this brand of humor is right for you.
