Mar 28, 2023Immersion, great comfort and atmosphere to spare: The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2 offers very little new compared to the previous chapter, also due to a less interesting adventure, but the survival mechanics still work well and the result is a pleasure to play, especially on PS VR2.
-
Nov 13, 2023Fans will feel right at home. The Walking Dead Saint and Sinners: Chapter 2:Retribution takes the successful formula and enriches the gameplay with neat additions like night missions and new weapons. Hoewever the shift towards a more action-oriented gameplay and the bad story might be enough to break the deal for you.
-
Mar 27, 2023The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution is a tense, complex and physically demanding survival horror. There aren't many new features compared to its predecessor, but if you have PSVR2 you absolutely must play it.
-
Mar 22, 2023A fine second chapter to one of the original PSVR’s brightest spots. The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution breathes fresh life into the Saints & Sinners formula without straying too far from where it began.
-
Mar 22, 2023If for whatever reason you skipped out on the initial Meta Quest 2 release of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution, then the PS VR2 version is definitely the way to go. While Chapter 2 doesn’t reinvent the wheel or present a full-fledged sequel, Skydance Interactive has still provided enough polish and content to the experience to warrant a revisit to post-apocalyptic New Orleans.
-
Apr 2, 2023Even if it is not a full-blown sequel and does not do much to revolutionize the saga, The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners Chapter 2: Retribution remains that formidable mix of survival horror and action that focuses on immersion and physical involvement, fully centering the objective. The new weapons, faster pace and stealth mechanics introduced with the night missions are interesting enough additions to justify returning to spooky New Orleans. The quality bar rises significantly on PlayStation VR 2, thanks to a port that significantly improves the performance and graphics of the version originally released on Meta Quest 2.
-
Apr 16, 2023An intense adventure that shines at a high level in its playable section.
-
Apr 16, 2023The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution is a lot of fun and has plenty to offer to the PlayStation VR2 owners. With fast-paced gameplay and many improvements from the first game, it delivers a fresh and joyful experience to the Walking Dead fans.
-
Apr 12, 2023The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution does not bring many innovations compared to the prequel, but in its new edition for PlayStation VR 2 it emerges as an excellent survival horror thanks to precise controls, excellent graphics and intense action.
-
Mar 24, 2023The exciting fight for survival with motivating crafting and heavy weapons finally gets a technically worthy and significantly more handsome implementation on the PSVR2.
-
Mar 20, 2023It isn’t quite a full-on sequel and doesn’t do much to move the franchise forward, but Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2 is still an incredibly enjoyable extra helping of walker-slaying entertainment. Its smattering of new additions and novelties prove compelling enough to make post-apocalyptic New Orleans worth the revisit, especially if you passed on the initial Quest 2 release for a more polished, well-performing, and visually pleasing product.
-
May 9, 2023The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution is a sequel that does not alter anything that stands out in the original. Continuity has its good side, and that is that fans of the saga will have another test of survival that works well within virtual reality. However, there is little reason to justify the sequel.
-
Apr 10, 2023The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution is an incredibly immersive and rich post-apocalyptic experience. However, its high degree of realism is exactly one of its negative points. Another problem is that it’s basically mandatory to play its predecessor. The summary presented is not enough to understand everything that happened and make you care about the characters.
-
Apr 19, 2023The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution isn't a bad game, but it's still a bit disappointing. Instead of a true sequel, we got a bloated expansion that loses the sense of improvements and progression. It's like you're just playing a new story in an old game. Plus, it doesn't help that a stereotype creeps in over time.
-
Apr 5, 2023While The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution doesn’t squash all the bugs that festered within the Meta Quest 2 release last year, it’s a significant improvement that fans of the series should check out; just don’t go in expecting a full-on sequel. With its fantastic, physics-based brawls that make excellent use of the PSVR2’s Sense controllers, sending the undead back to the grave has never felt better. If you’re a fan of the series or survival horror games (with an emphasis on survival) in general, this one’s worth adding to your PSVR2 library.
-
Apr 4, 2023The Walking - Dead Saints & Sinners: Chapter 2 - Retribution still shines with its physics engine and the interactions it allows, offering a nice immersion in its universe with a successful atmosphere. Apart from new interesting weapons and night exploration, it brings very few novelties and is much more directional, putting more action on the confrontations than on its story or its characters. It is still a very good game, but it looks more like a DLC than an original title. So newcomers should rather go to the first episode before playing it, especially since it doesn't help much to understand the context if you missed the beginning.
-
Mar 27, 2023Event if it lacks a bit of new features, The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners Chapter 2 Retribution remains a good VR games with now its polish release on PC VR and PS VR 2.
-
Mar 23, 2023It sucks that Chapter 2 on the PlayStation VR2 is still unacceptably janky despite major performance and graphical improvements, but when its bugs aren’t driving me to quit in anger, its moment-to-moment action is undeniably improved over the stealth-oriented original. Moreover, the PS VR2’s impressive detail, haptic feedback, and all-new dynamic lighting systems mixed with the low black point of the headset’s OLED panels give way to a spooky atmosphere that transports me directly into the zombie apocalypse, making it well worth the hassle.
-
Mar 21, 2023If you enjoyed the first part and you just want more, you’ll find it here. Other than that, Chapter 2: Retribution is an enjoyable adventure, but not the ‘must-have’ for VR that it was the original.
-
PLAYSep 16, 2023Flashes of brilliance dulled by technical issues, and an obsession with making things difficult for you. There’s fun here, if you’re willing to fight for it. [Issue#27, p.80]
-
Mar 29, 2023More up close and personal zombie slaying in post-apocalyptic New Orleans, retaining the original’s focus on exploration and crafting, and its relentlessly uninspiring combat.
-
Apr 16, 2023The Walking Dead Saints and Sinners 2 is not a bad game, but a bad sequel. It's certainly entertaining and successful in many ways, but it's no different from the first game. Yes, it's a sequel directly related to the first episode, but still. The new features can be counted on the fingers of one hand and are not sufficiently marked to really add value. Except maybe the night sorties, which are fun, a bit creepy and devilishly stressful. A very honest and fun PSVR 2 game, but not essential.

Apr 17, 2023You can keep working from the same base, because this base is so good that it achieves one of the best feelings of achievement and tension I've ever experienced in a video game, but we expect more for possible future chapters of this already iconic franchise. [Recommended]
