    This game is no less than a 10/10 on the original 2013/14 game and 7/10 on the 2022/2023 remakes. The story is impeccable and the animation the best of its kind and generally the perfect game of its genre for ~2013.     I bought the game for 70 bucks, it is an amazing looking game but that’s not up for debate. Their are a few improvements like crafting and you can shiv clickers from the start without upgrading like previous versions. The human are smarter. Was it worth my 70 plus dollars……compared to other 70 dollar games NOPE! wait for a sale

    Box came broken. They are not refunding the money. The game is exactly the same as the original. No gameplay improvement, just graphics.

Part 2, которая выходила в 2020 году, на обновленном движке, с новой анимацией, с геймплейными нововведениями, с новым 20+ часов сюжетом - стоила 60$.Лучшая версия этой игры на данный момент. Но 70$ это не стоит. Это все та же игр, что и была в 2013 году, только с обновленной графикой. Part 2, которая выходила в 2020 году, на обновленном движке, с новой анимацией, с геймплейными нововведениями, с новым 20+ часов сюжетом - стоила 60$.

    ...Same as the 2014 remaster of the 2013 version except with even better graphics. Overall, this feels like a forced unnecessary remake because the game play is just as clunky the 2013 and 2014 and not as refined as in The Last of Us Part 2. It just feels like they made this game just to rename it with part 1 in the title because the majority of people didn't like part 2 and they wanted to...Same as the 2014 remaster of the 2013 version except with even better graphics. Overall, this feels like a forced unnecessary remake because the game play is just as clunky the 2013 and 2014 and not as refined as in The Last of Us Part 2.     Having played the remaster many times over I knew what I was getting into story wise and content wise. That said, the extra work done with the accessibility features is phenomenal to allow others the chance to experience what is a phenomenal game. The biggest improvement for me is actually the audio.     Still the same great game but released for the third time with no significant upgrades in terms of gameplay or content. Graphically impressive but ultimately not enough to warrant a $70 dollar price tag. Advice for first timers? Buy the Remaster for PS4, it’s the exact same game and much much cheaper. Graphical fidelity is not enough at this price point.

    good remake whit nice graphics, still tlou part 2 had way much better graphics even being a game from playstation 4. 7/10

    The last of us es un gran juego y me encanta y aunque el remake sea una gran forma de jugarlo no creo que balga la pena ya que no agrega mucho en comparacion con el remaster entonces si ya tienes el remaster de ps4 no vale mucho la pena comprarlo asta que no le bajen el precio ya que sigue siendo casi lo mismo entoces es un gran juego pero no tan buen remake.

    An undiubted method of cash grab to advertise the TV series (of peraphs the opposite), the graphics engagement and motion capture are very close to 10, but the gameplay is a 4… too old and with this quality its hurts a lot.

    Tbh it feels like I just wasted 70$ because I HAVE THE GAME FOR PS4 It's good because it the last of us but just buy the game for PS3 or PS4

    The game, first shipped for ps3, remastered on ps4, and now remade from the ground up for ps5, while it keeps all the elements that made the original game stand out, its scarce content fails to justify the game's opulent price. The $70 game, not only doesn't include the multiplayer mode called "factions", but it simply adds a sharper, grittier look, and feel, to the game. Had this game been sold at $40 instead of $70, I would have probably given this game a higher score than a meager 7, but that, unfortunately, is not the case. With that being said, while this game continues to blend the fine line between fiction and reality, I don't want to see another "The Last Of Us Part I" until 2050.… Expand

    If I played it on PS3 or PS4 for the remake version, this game will definitely be 10, a no-brainer. However, if you buy it at the full price cost or a limited discount. the game doesn't worth that much. I would suggest anyone who hasn't played it just wait for a big sale or go for the original version. 70 USD is just too much for the content, especially after so many years.

    I don't care if it is a cashgrab or not, but for me this game is just a slog. I can't get past how boring I think it is to actually play it.
    After each section I just want to put the controller down and not continue. New room, same **** And after a couple of hours that's what happened and I never looked back.

    Overall I was happy to run through the game again with the visual update. The price value proposition here is the main reason for the low score and if this had been in the £10-£30 range this would easily be a 8/10. While I understand it is Sony setting the price here, alongside the recently announced PS5 price hike in UK it all leads to a very poor showing from Sony since the PS5 launch and they really seem to be burning all the goodwill from the previous generation. Massive missed opportunity to earn some goodwill from the fans!    … Expand

    This is not a REMAKE its a visually impressive REMASTER from gameplay it is the exact game launched in 2013 and relaunched in 2014 almost nothing gameplay-wise has changed but the combat is smoother to play. The AI has not improved at all and at times it acts worse than the PS3 version with no updates but the visuals for everything look amazingly well done with the new textures andThis is not a REMAKE its a visually impressive REMASTER from gameplay it is the exact game launched in 2013 and relaunched in 2014 almost nothing gameplay-wise has changed but the combat is smoother to play. The AI has not improved at all and at times it acts worse than the PS3 version with no updates but the visuals for everything look amazingly well done with the new textures and incredible facial animations. what's new is that we have the safe and gun upgrade system from part 2 which is OK but it's incredibly disappointing that for $125 AUD=$85USD we only get better visuals and no MULTIPLAYER that is sold separately this is a cash grab just porting the game into the newer engine and adding a few elements from part 2 is not a remake it's more like death strandings directors cut. I will say tho this and demon's souls is what the game industry should now hold standards to for remasters with the visual quality side of things.… Expand

    There is nothing you get here that can't be found in the remastered version of PS4 outside of some shinier graphics and different character designs

    Cool, so a slight difficulty modification justifies a $70 price tag? This game should be $30, no more. It's, at its core, the same game from 2013.

    The same game with "better" graphics being released for the 3rd time? It's a cash grab, it's being made to capitalize on the upcoming HBO show. You can't tell me a game aiming to release around the premiere of a tv show doesn't have the same vibes at the licensed games of old, regardless of quality. Especially when it's going for the new next-gen price tag.

    If you're gonna buy this, don't act surprised in 5 years when you're paying $100 for a TLOU2 remake on PS6    … Expand

    As much as we love the skeleton, the way it’s been built upon here feels like a missed opportunity. The chance to incorporate Part II’s stellar gameplay evolutions into the original heart-wrenching story was there; had Naughty Dog taken it, it could have been a game-changer. Instead, this feels like an obligatory reshoot. Yes, it’s visually stunning (one of PS5’s best), and yes, things have been changed. But the end result? Too familiar. Neat extras are here, like a speedrun mode, behind the scenes videos, and commentary tracks – but we’d hoped for something bolder. [Issue#19, p.74]

    The original The Last of Us will always be my favourite PlayStation game. The narrative is amazing, the relationship between Joel and Ellie is wholesome and it all culminates into a satisfying story that will bring tears to your eyes. However, I do not recommend the remake. Even though there are extensive graphical enhancements, 60FPS support, DualSense support and a variety of accessibility options, none of this justifies the admission price. And, above all, there was really no need for this remake, the original is perfect as it is and available on PS Plus. Skip it and wait for a fat discount if you are keen to try it.
