Not only this, but the unique storytelling, tone, and writing of Tainted Grail invested me in ways that many RPG staples never have. Even if bugs bound me to a choppy, imperfect experience, I more often than not found myself lost in the world of Avalon and what it had to offer me. Above all else, rolling the credits left me excited to see what is next for Questline.

Imagine if The Elder Scrolls is set in the Dark Souls or Elden Ring world, that is exactly the twist Tainted Grail The Fall of Avalon provided with this game, it is a great experience regardless of the technical issues the game has.

Despite these technical hiccups and the sense of artificiality that creeps into the open world on a macro scale, The Fall of Avalon’s intimate moments remain resonant—and, at their most evocative, enthralling.
