Sep 20, 2023Is it worth the price tag? That's a tough one. If you've enjoyed the previous game/s and you don't have any in your collection at the moment... it is a good way to have that classic game with the addition of some extra modes if you want to try those too.

Sep 20, 2023A continuation of which we expected a little more. It has details to polish and work to do in its online aspect. Fair technical and sound section.

Sep 20, 2023Super Bomberman R 2 delivers a solid enough take on the tried and tested classic Bomberman formula.
-
Sep 12, 2023Super Bomberman R 2 is a step in the right direction for the series with the addition of a lengthy campaign, a level editor, and a whole new game mode. With more puzzles to mix up the repetitive gameplay and a little more polish to iron out the visual clutter, frame rate drops, and long load times, Bomberman could be super yet again.

Sep 12, 2023For Bomberman fans, Super Bomberman R 2 is likely to be a must-have simply because of cross-platform play; it’ll certainly make finding matches easier, and that’s where most of the fun lies with this title. Additional match types also make it attractive for those wanting to play it locally with friends, even if Castle proves to be somewhat disappointing. It’s just a shame that so much content is locked behind coins in the store, and that while the campaign is better this time around, it’s still not all that engrossing.
-
Sep 18, 2023Super Bomberman R 2 is fun but it gets extremely chaotic in multiplayer. The gameplay is familiar for any longtime fun but it doesn't always fit the new modes.
-
Sep 13, 2023Super Bomberman R 2 is as fun to play against people locally or globally as it ever was, but the story mode is a little dull.
-
Sep 20, 2023This game feels as if Konami wanted to do a Bomberman RPG, but they didn’t fully commit to that idea. Instead, you’re given a mediocre title that can’t seem to decide its target audience. Super Bomberman R 2 does at least provide a lot of couch cooperative fun in an era that still craves local/offline play. If players can look past the bland and tedious story, Super Bomberman R 2 still provides the great party play that the series has always been known for.
-
Sep 18, 2023Super Bomberman R 2 doesn’t do much to differentiate itself from its predecessor or the series. There’s just nothing really here to justify a purchase with a campaign consisting of only three unimaginative levels, very limited power-ups, and a strange implication of online modes. The charm is still present when playing classic modes, but nothing that has been added moves the series in any significant direction.
