    With its shoddy gameplay, Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles would have been better left in the past. But credit where credit's due, Aspyr has made numerous welcome additions and improvements here, which may at least make fans of the original happy.

    STAR WARS: Jedi Power Battles is a galactic disappointment. While some technical updates like faster load times are nice, the force is not strong with its outdated mechanics, frustrating platforming, and missed opportunities to fix core issues. A mediocre game from 2000 with no substantial changes simply doesn’t cut it in 2025. It’s a Womp rat of a re-release that fails to live up to the legacy of the Star Wars saga.

    Much like most Star Wars product these days, Jedi Power Battles is a nostalgia driven cash-grab that fails to improve the game other than reflecting some surfaces and modernising the controls. It's inconsistent, frustrating and, most egregiously, gave Amidala Force powers. That bad feeling you have about this? You know it to be true.
