    Wasn't expecting much but was surprised at how great Sifu is. Sifu combines great gameplay with interesting mechanics and stunning visual design to be an excellent game I'd highly recommend.

    SIFU es un beat 'em up en 3D aunque también se puede considerar un juego de lucha, ya que tiene una jugabilidad muy original que mezcla estos dos estilos de una forma magistral. La jugabilidad es sin duda su punto fuerte, tiene un sistema de combate bastante sencillo pero complejo de dominar, y consigue ser muy satisfactorio y adictivo. La dificultad del juego es bastante elevada y estáSIFU es un beat 'em up en 3D aunque también se puede considerar un juego de lucha, ya que tiene una jugabilidad muy original que mezcla estos dos estilos de una forma magistral. La jugabilidad es sin duda su punto fuerte, tiene un sistema de combate bastante sencillo pero complejo de dominar, y consigue ser muy satisfactorio y adictivo. La dificultad del juego es bastante elevada y está muy bien medida y me ha durado unas 9 horas. El bucle jugable consigue ser muy divertido y nunca se hace repetitivo, aunque a veces sea necesario repetir el nivel entero para ir al siguiente con menos edad. Esto me lleva a hablar de la mecánica principal del juego, la edad. A medida que vas muriendo tu edad va aumentado, y esto hace que pierdas vida pero que hagas más daño. Me parece una mecánica muy bien implementada y que hace el juego tremendamente rejugable. El diseño de niveles mejorable, no como su diseño artístico que es muy vistoso (con algunas zonas y escenarios espectaculares) y con una magnífica combinación de colores. En cuanto a su apartado gráfico no me ha terminado de convencer, ya que creo que texturas algo más trabajadas habrían quedado mejor. La historia tiene una premisa interesante y el contexto del mundo, siguiendo la cultura del kung-fu, también tiene su complejidad, pero para mi ha pasado a un segundo plano durante mi partida. La banda sonora y los efectos de sonido son muy buenos y consiguen crear una atmósfera muy inmersiva en cada escenario. También debo comentar el contenido extra añadido de las Arenas, muy recomendable para quienes se hayan quedado con más ganas de SIFU. Como punto negativo he de mencionar que las animaciones faciales me han parecido algo inexpresivas y que el doblaje me parece algo mediocre. En conclusión, SIFU es uno de los mejores indies que he jugado y lo recomiendo a quienes quieran tener una experiencia desafiante. 8,9/10

    Me encantaría que los juegos indies supieran pillar la fórmula de Sifu, que además salió a precio reducido. Esto, ligado a que "solo" son cinco niveles, puede parecer corto, pero nada más lejos de la realidad, pues la intención del juego es rejugar todos los niveles una y otra vez para perfeccionarlo. Se puede hacer algo repetitivo, pero la agilidad que requiere para jugar hará que no te des cuenta del paso del tiempo. Me da lástima no tener más para darle, y eso que he jugado 30 horas.     Great game, very original. It has a sense of john wick mixed with groundhog day and it's so brilliant and fluid. Not for the faints of heart that's for sure. It's very difficult. But it's rewarding and fair and if you die you feel like it's your fault and you can get better.

Особенно заметна разница на последнем боссе, тк при первой встречи я вообще не понимал, как его победить, руки опускались, я готов был разбить свой геймпад об стену. Но я взял волю в кулак, потратил несколько часов своей жизни, чтобы наконец-таки заучить все его комбинации и одолеть. И вот уже при повторных прохождениях он не вызывает каких-либо проблем. В конечном итоге я прошёл всю игру без смертей при возрасте 20 лет, познал полностью Кунг-Фу и сам стал своего рода Сэнсэем.
    Также хочется выделить шикарный нарисованный дизайн уровней, локация в Музее покорила моё сердечко, атмосферу Китая и музыку.    … Expand

    As punishing as it is rewarding, Sifu is a meticulous martial arts-centred scrapper that's tough as nails, but the tremendously rhythmic striking is moreish, and the audio and sound design is top notch.

    Великолепная боевая система, ультра красивый дизайн локаций, и главное лично для меня, просто неповторимая атмосфера которая не выпускает тебя из игры не на секунду, 10/10 взял платину и наиграл уже под 50часов, разработчикам из "sloclap" низкий поклон, по больше бы таких игр.    Одна из лучших игр этого года, и абсолютно точно лучшая инди игра последних лет.

    Although the first few minutes in "Sifu" are not easy, those who fight their way through will be offered a challenging and intense game. We can only recommend the game's storyline, graphics and controls and were very positively impressed that "Sifu" was also released for the PlayStation 5. Get "Sifu" for your console and experience a great game.

Idk why Devs and games these days don't comes with difficulty settings, prolly kind of a stupid trend or whatever going on. For example I will never touch Souls games/Elden Ring dosen't matter if they are 10/10 Masterpiece cuz it's a straight waste of time for me as I am a casual gamer and not try harding andChanging my rating from 1 to 10, as they have FINALLY added difficulty settings. I appreciate when developers created a game that rewards the player for playing smart and learning the fundamentals. Because of the insane level of difficultly in Sifu, this game is not meant for everyone which is perfectly okay. All games are not created equal and this is clearly for people who want and love a challenge. The only major flaw I can think of for this game is that it does a poor job of explaining its mechanics for newer players who are not quick learners. If y you're someone who loves a challenge and likes to be put to the test for a more satisfying feeling this game is definitely for you.… Expand

    Si tendria mas pantallas habria sido la O****. Es un juegazo de kung fu increible, a veces me creo john wick, jacky chan y bruce lee. Movimientos buenisimos, muy bien hechos. Es dificil pero las muertes premian el camino.

    Sifu's visuals and combat are extraordinary. The level design is also fantastic with such unique environments that offer so much. The camera is the main criticism with the game as it frequently gets stuck in environments. The story is average but it isn't the focus of the game.

    Sifu is absolutely an incredible game. Playing it brings back fond memories of classic games like Streets of Rage, The Bouncer, Double Dragon, and Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. Sifu feels like you are playing an old 70's Bruce Lee action film. Love it.

    The people who gave this game a low score is probably to hard for them saying it need a difficulty setting that would ruin the experience and saying only Sony ponyies like this game when it's on PC as well they are just mad because they can't play the game they complain about the difficulty anyways all this because of a stupid console war

    Amazing game by a small developer. It is hard, but the combat system is so great that you feel like you learned something everytime you die. There are some frustrations here and there, but overall a great indie game to enjoy for a few hours.

This is not only mechanically interesting, but also adds a slightly metaphorical note to the largely meager story. Sifu is definitely not a casual game. But if you get involved in the smoothly animated fights and are not impressed by the high level of difficulty, you will get a brawler that is distinctive in many ways… Expand

    Yes, this game is hard. The question you have to ask yourself is whether the gameplay is engaging and fun enough to play certain sections over and over again. Any new game is going to have a control scheme and mechanics that you're not used to. As with any other skill, and as a fitting example, with any actual martial art, it takes time to teach your body and mind how to react to certainYes, this game is hard. As with any other skill, and as a fitting example, with any actual martial art, it takes time to teach your body and mind how to react to certain actions. The movesets of the enemies in this game take a lot of trial and error to learn. But with some patience and perseverance, you will learn the moves, and you will be able to respond quickly and correctly to all of them. And let me tell you, once you do, you will feel like an absolute badass in this game. That's the point. If that level of mastery came too easily, it would negate the sense of accomplishment. This game is so rewarding if you just enjoy the combat for what it is and take the time to master it.

    Difficulty and mechanics aside, the visuals and art style in this game are fantastic. Shout out to Sloclap for showing everyone how to do an oil painting aesthetic correctly (I'm looking at you, Platinum Games). The music was great and fit the mood and aesthetic of the game very well. The attention to detail, especially with interactions with the environment, was impressive. Also, this game was a clear love letter to the martial arts movie classics that came before it, especially the introductory credit sequence. Finally, this game managed to improve everything I dislike about "roguelike" mechanics. Once you beat a stage, you don't ever have to go back (unless you want to improve the starting age for the next stage). Even with the shortcuts, having to go through all the stages on every run would not have been fun. So being able to choose to go back to previous stages later was a huge positive.

    This game does lose a point for me for a couple reasons. The story was pretty generic, though I love From Software approach to storytelling in this game, through finding items and subtle clues in the environment. The ending, even the "good" one, lacked emotional weight for me. It could have been because the acting and writing, at least in the English version, was okay. Nothing to write home about. My final criticism would be that I wish some of the heavy attacks from the enemies (the ones with the glowing limbs), especially the sweeps and the big boy grabs, had a bit more of a telegraph.

    All in all, this is a masterfully crafted game with exciting gameplay mechanics and beautiful style, and well worth asking price. I can't wait to see what Sloclap does next, and I'm excited for any extra content for this game.    … Expand

    Pros: - The combat is top-notch with a variety of playstyles, combos, and skills to use and we can't forget the god-like calligraphed animation of the fighting moves. - Myriad of context-based takedowns depending on the locations, stances, weapons, and enemy    A masterful execution of the martial art game genre and a love letter to those who love Hongkong martial arts action movies.

    Pros:
    - The combat is top-notch with a variety of playstyles, combos, and skills to use and we can't forget the god-like calligraphed animation of the fighting moves.
    - Myriad of context-based takedowns depending on the locations, stances, weapons, and enemy types completed with smooth cinematic camera transition.
    - A simple yet focused story actually expands a lot further on the True Ending.
    - The art style and designs really shine and deliver a memorable atmosphere (especially on the Museums stage)
    - Smooth performance on PS5
    - The OST also help bring out the mood and tone of each stage/boss fight
    - $40 price tag (on PS store)

    Cons:
    - Camera does love to get stucked right behind the players when they are against the wall - limiting visibility to almost zero and it's extremely infuriating when you get hit and/or die from it.

Sifu è la rappresentazione perfetta dell’amore dei suoi creatori per i film degli anni ’80 sul Kung Fu. I personaggi sono ben caratterizzati e i boss di fine livello vi faranno sclerare come non mai.     This very challenging but fair game. Each time through a level you culminate with a boss fight that will challenge your patience. However, overcoming these bosses gives a great sense of euphoria.

The challenge in the game is the perfect balance of difficult yet fair and gives the sense that all of the challenge can be overcome with enough practice and time. The only slight issue I can really think off is level 4 boss being kinda weak compared to the others and some slight camera problems. These problems though are very minor in the grand scheme of things. If you are wanting some challenge or maybe just a fun kung fu beat ‘em up this is the game for you.… Expand

    Had a Blast, just a game where you sit back relax and kick ass
    I Had the infamous problem with the Pre order but besides that is a great game i just wish it was longer and had more variety on combat but don't get me wrong the combat system is amazing but just wished it had more variety.

    This game is really good. It looks really cool and the music is awesome. The combat is one of the best I've ever play and thats where the fun is. Its really challenging but its worth the try and retry and retry... if you like to be challenged but with some fairness this game could be for you.     The game is difficult in the sense that the parry and avoid mechanics become necessary, but it’s not obvious how best to implement them or just how much EASIER they make the game. For instance, the first boss will rarely land a blow if you just hold L1 and avoid down with the left stick. And you can beat him in a minute flat if you just parry a couple of his more telegraphed combos. The game is still challenging, but not frustratingly challenging once you understand how easy and useful those mechanics are.

    A few quick tips for beginners. Make sure that your L1 button for avoiding/dodge is set to “hold” instead of “toggle”. You’ll understand if you try it.

    If you don’t understand the timing of avoiding hits, try this: Square up with a single enemy, hold L1 and just keep pressing down on the left stick repeatedly. Don’t even try to attack. Watch how many blows you avoid (probably all). You’ll realize the dodge function is very generous, and only a few of the stronger enemy types have combos that require precise timing to dodge.

    Last thing I found helpful is how to dodge sweep attacks. You’ll get really used to avoiding/dodging down since it’s so useful, but if you dodge down during a sweep attack you’ll get downed every time. You could dodge upward to jump over the sweep, but it takes a lot of practice and knowledge of the enemy combos. Instead, if the sweep is coming, simply hold L1 without dodging in any direction. You won’t be swept to the floor unless your structure is gauge is full. You’ll take a little structure damage, but you’ll make less mistake this way. If you try to dodge it you’ll get punished a lot. And sweeps are so fast that they’re hard to time even if you know they’re coming. Good luck!    … Expand

    Fantastic, best hand to hand combat game I can recall playing and so satisfying when you get the hang of the controls. The camera can be a little awkward at times but nothing that can't be patched over time. Very tough and rewarding just like a game should be!

    I honestly have no issues with this game. I’ve had minimal bugs and an amazing time. I platinumed this in around 7 days after release and I just want more. Since then I’m still coming back to play more. This game and the devs deserve the highest praise for this. More DLC or sequels in the future would be great.     Ótima jogabilidade, porém o jogo tem um sistema meio de rogue-like que não se encaixa muito bem, fica extremamente repetitivo ao passar do tempo por conta de sua dificuldade extrema no inicio, mas ao passar do tempo, você começa a entender melhor a mecânica do game, e a partir dai fica muito mais tranquilo, no geral é um bom game por um preço muito acima do merecido.

    This game is great! The biggest issue with it in my opinion is its length. While you can definitely draw our your playtime by mastering each level before moving on to the next, you can run through the entire game in just an hour or two if you are simply trying to beat each boss.     Wow this is one of the best games I've ever played. At first it was really fustrating. I had to replay the 2nd level for 4 days before finally beating it at a good age but then I started getting really good. This game does a great job with the "wax on wax off" style. When I got to the final boss, I struggled hard and ended up beating him age 56 but I kept trying and eventually I beat him age 21. Now I have beat each level without dying and the game feels really easy because of how much I had to keep playing and learning. I truly feel like I mastered it and it is very satisfying. With that being said, for the real players of this game who stick with it like me and really learn it and beat it, they will eventually get good. I'm at the point where I can run through levels and the challenge isn't there anymore. Theres a couple mods that make the game harder but I barely notice them now. The game will ultimately need more content to get the players who stuck with it to keep playing. It's too easy now. Don't get me wrong the length of the game is well worth the $40. It took me around 40 hours to master but now after all the dying and rage quits, it is too easy. Also the training mode needs to be better. Maybe if there was a arena mode or you could practice against certain enemy types to practice, it would help new players. All in all, I think it is GOTY for me and after dying over and eventually mastering it, the sense of accomplishment you get feels amazing and very rewarding.… Expand

It took me 1 week, playing 1 hour and a half per day to complete and have all trophies and only god knows how much I have enjoyed the challenge to learn step by step all moves, ability skills, even with the training mode that I ever played in a game! Music is awesome, graphic is damn stylish, bosses remembers you lot of films, combat system is deep, hard to master, but once you reach the mind status, you become Bruce lee. I am only missing something more, I would like to have more, some dlcs, or a new diff ultima or a boss rush mode, something that could give this game at least a 10 more hours of playing. This is for me the only thing missing to vote 9 ( and the camera moving around you sometimes really sucks ).

    For all those foes who tells the game is difficult, well guys I think that the only problem is that you don’t want to really play video games, or maybe you forget the arcade cabins, or maybe you forget the good times passed learning something to reach perfection. If I made this playing 1 hour per day more or less, you all working in this amazing industry’s that have lot of hours to relate about a game, the only truth is that you don’t git gud enaugh, relating a game even without complete it.    … Expand

    Awesome game, VERY similar to death loop, the aging mechanic is truly a brilliant way to make the player wanna repeat locations although already finished just to have more of an advance, would definitely recommend

    Sifu is the most difficult game I've played so far. It brought that much more excitement when I beat a boss. It's very punishing yet so satisfying. No matter how many times I died I still have so much fun with it.

    Not for the faint of heart, not crazy hard either. You get better every time, and the Kung fu flow becomes exhilarating. Not to be played before going to bed though, as it is very exciting.

    master piece this game is. These guys did an incredible job of creating an intense immersive kung fu play ground. You feel like a pupil of this world, an apprentice of kung fu. This is your training ground, unforgiving, uncompromising, and yet zen. All these incredible AAA games coming out this month and theres SIFU sleeper hit GoY. Like darksouls and kungfu? here you go

    Managed to Platinum this on PS5, it is difficult but when you learn the mechanics and moves it’s easier, I really enjoyed this game for the challenge and definitely one of my favorite games of 2022. The developers did an amazing job and I’m looking forward to a sequel!

    -Replayability so low once game is completed (unless you're a speed runner or doing personal challenges).
    -Enemy variety is limited (4 main types aside from bosses).
    -Minor to get-beat-by-the-boss-cuz-I'm-stuck-in-a-pillar-and-can't-get-out bugs.

    Final Thoughts: Pricing is an issue as it feels, in my opinion, like a quality $25 game; this however does not affect my review score. This is a solid 8/10 7 to 10 hour game.    … Expand

    It’s a great game with outstanding combat that forces you to learn while failing. It is unforgiving but trusting the process will get you the most satisfying end of all. Finishing a stage at age 20.

    This game is awesome. Easy to learn but hard to master. Combat seems simple but the more you play the more you release it's super deep. Don't listen to all the little soft babies with booboo in their diedies. They're just crying because they aren't man enough to play a game that doesn't have training wheels

The game can be punishingly difficult, but I usually know what I did wrong and in time find my way past each obstacle one I’ve learned how to navigate it.     Sifu is boundlessly entertaining, immensely satisfying, and unrelentingly fresh. Even over a year after its initial release, I was still excited to jump back in, and I'm still excited to go back.

    It seems coming at this game late has given me a more positive perspective on Sifu. Whilst the Student difficulty wasn't available at launch, it does help wash away some of the repetition that can potentially grind a player down. Honestly, I felt the combat more than pulled its weight and controlling an encounter can feel incredibly rewarding. There's a challenge to be had but it's one that can be overcome with patient observation and persistence.
