Feb 10, 2023There's something great in Saint Kotar, but I can't exactly tell you what. It feels like a great game is, well, kind of stuck inside of a "just okay" game at the present. The atmosphere, premise, and voice acting are stellar, but are ultimately brought down by pacing that doesn't quite feel all too thought out. I spent the entire game feeling like I was working toward something special—only to still feel like I was "working my way up" by the time I got to the end.

Dec 12, 2022What could have been an interesting premise about religion, murder and cults, soon devolves into a bland and uninspired point-and-click. Saint Kotar has some originality with its faith-testing plot, but ultimately will only really appeal to die-hard fans of the genre.

Dec 5, 2022Despite having a solid story plan, it is hidden behind awkward gameplay and slow paced speech. The game is not unplayable, but it is obvious that this was initially a PC game, with little effort given in creating more fluid controls for console. There is no way of keeping track of the story either. Therefore once you've solved the difficult puzzles, it is easy to have forgotten the relevant names and locations needed to proceed.
