Absolute joke of a game, great idea poor execution. There's some fun to be had here but its so repetitive and boring most of the time.

It's worth noting that the in-game rewards for completing missions often provide unattractive and unappealing skins. Expand

Controls and the rules ruin this experience. Missing a checkpoint will result in you losing no matter what. Colliding with anyone can result in you never seeing 1st place. Mass race is an absolute joke. Winning is based purely on luck or hackers. Tricks battle is a joke. Two maps, and if you understand how it works, winning is literally the easiest thing to do. Got free with PS Plus. Deleted within an hour. Basically due to the two main reasons others are saying: Firstly, the controls and mechanics just don't feel fun. It's full of cheesy one liners that Americans may find cool but us brits just don't like. It treated me like I was an eight year old. Maybe that's the audience it was aimed at. Probably decent if i gave it a chance, but just not for me given the size of my backlog. Also, yet another ubisoft 'go to all the dots on the map' structure. For god's sake, when will they try a different style of game??? Expand

The introductory characters are cringe, annoying, and fit every cliche trope you can think of. After one of the intro characters referred to another NPC as a 'Tripple OG' I almost quit right there. During an intro tutorial you are told to 'just puke if you have to' to make it to the finish line. Like Seriously! Talk about promoting unhealthy habits and self harm.

If you can push through the tutorial the controls will be your main obstacle as you take to the courses. Riding the bike feels like you're sliding on ice. Gameplay leaves little room for error. One minor mistake and you're sent flying off a cliff or face first into a mountain. Overall, a lackluster turd of a game.

When I first started playing this game, I really thought I was going to enjoy it. Well, that lasted for about an hour or so. Well, that lasted for about an hour or so. After that it became one of the most frustrating games I've played in a long time. If you enjoy cheap mechanics that constantly screw you, you are going to love this game! You are going to get bumped so many times in races. A lot of those bumps from the ghost opponents are going to cause you to crash or mess up and have to start from the beginning. By the 20th or 25th time of having to start a race over because you make one tiny mistake or get bumped by the ghost opponents, you are going to want to pull your hair out.

If you aren't frustrated yet, just wait until you've restarted the game for the 15th time because it randomly crashed.

Not frustrated yet from the game crashing or screwing you over in races? Well, just keep playing and I'm sure after you've heard the same song 25 times in a row (it restarts the same song over when you restart a race), you will rather bang your head against a wall than keep putting up with the crap Riders Republic sends your way.

On top of all that, I bought the Ultimate Edition and it still won't give me any of the cosmetics that come with that edition. So Ubisoft again releases another half-baked game and screws their customers. Don't let them screw you too!

I definitely won't be playing this game again until they address all these issues. You probably won't have much fun playing Riders Republic either until they actually finish the game and fix all these issues.

This game is not a lets chill and explore, this is a grind for stars or your gear is terrible, slow, and downright frustrating. Ubisoft purposefully makes your experience terrible with the carrot dangling with promises of "legendary" gear. BUT, it's RNG...grind, grind, grind...oh, you didn't get anything but cash (you can't even spend because their shop is bare, unless you spend real money on microtransactions), KEEP GRINDING! This is a gacha game disguised as a AAA experience. BUT wait, they do add some cool new toys for you to explore and have fun with...but for a price. So if you want to spend 60 for the game, then another 15 for a hoverboard, and another 20 for a season...well, enjoy the best game at nickel and diming you! Expand

In terms of gameplay, Riders Republic is an arcade-style racing game. Not necessarily realistic, but very fun, fast and over the top. It's perfect for fans of Tony Hawk, SSX and even (for those slightly older readers) Cool boarders. It's not overly technical, but it's not dulled either. It's also clever how Ubisoft has managed to make every discipline on point. Whether you're doing tricks on a snowboard or flying through a ravine in a wingsuit, all the disciplines are incredibly fun.

Riders Republic is an action-packed game that’s not only exciting to play but also very fun to discover, pretty much because depending on the route you choose, everything feels new and fresh even if you’re not playing it for the first time.

Yes, the title from Ubisoft is full of qualities, full of energy, full of color and it offers beautiful sensations to seasoned players and others thanks to many options of accessibility. The sense of travel (and speed) and freedom are at the RDV! Too bad that some problems of management of physics and a scenario a little pretext a little spoils the superb panoramas.
