May 9, 2021Just more of the exact same: puzzles for the sake of puzzles, bullet sponge enemies. Just a different environment.

May 15, 2021I enjoyed the first half of the game the second half was a major disappointment but here is the problem it isn't a resident evil game I would of give it a higher score if it was a new IP it seems to play more on fantasy than horror go play resident evil 2 remake if you want a true resident evil experience

May 9, 2021Disappointing game
Do you still remember Dead Space 2? Because that's how this game seems to me.
Everything that was too scary and violent is removed and it degenerates into an action game with a scary element.
I can also play CoD in zombie mode. -
May 8, 2021there was no horror aspect really which i was disappointed with, and the boss fights were meh, also ethans character continues to be garbage. Other than that’s it’s a good game.

May 14, 2021Resident Evil Village is let down by it's last quarter by immense magnitude. All atmosphere is blown away for badly paced action and horrible boss fights. Unfortunately, the end sticks with you thus lowering the overall good experience.

Apr 11, 2023Decent game nothing special but fun game, tells story well decent story, ok gameplay and decent graphics.
-
May 9, 2021It's the same **** all over again. A mix of RE7 and RE4 with an uninteresting story, a lot of meaningless events, fantasy scenarios, generic enemies and boring villains.
It's fun to play and the graphics are great, but the game, despite clearly trying hard to stand out, ends up being somewhat forgettable. -
May 9, 2021it is solid game.. great graphic.. gameplay/combat is fun despite it give me motion sickness/nausea few times so i coudn't finish it yet
-
Jul 1, 2021combines the best part for resident evil 4 and 7 , But unfortunately, it is not the best mix of both worlds. the doesn't have amazing action and satisfying shooting for 4 and 7 and loses a lot of Steam middle of the game .
I would say the good game you should try it if you expected something great like 4 and 7 , is not it -
May 17, 2021I dont get the hype for this game.
Its a boring and very liniar game with great graphics. -
May 30, 2021Thankfully they added something new and interesting to the RE franchise, otherwise this would be just another run of the mill RE game with better graphics and awesome set design. Aiming is still not the series' strong point, but at least we can see that Capcom became a company that cherishes its own traditions.

CD-ActionDec 7, 2021Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

Nov 22, 2021Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

Jun 8, 2021RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
