    not so great..this is my second Re game the first was re7 witch was awesome and made me buy re8 but the latest one is a big disappointment.. it's only worth a 4 score because of the beautiful graphics and detail.. the rest is filler!!! This felt more like a tech demo than a game! RE7 bio in vr is the best!!!

    First of all It's time for Capcom to learn how to move a **** character, Ethan feels like 9000000kg at this point the playability is 10 years late.

    Bad writing, bad level design except castle part, bad texture work, nonsense character interactions except Heisenberg and Duke, bad gameplay resembling nothing about resident evil but it is a wannabe fps and bad `puzzle` game. The scenario had excellent potential nonetheless but it is ruined by incompetence.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. With one foul swoop Capcom has ruined the resident evil legacy and lore. The revolation that Ethen is a molded creature and thus can't die and has been dead since the beginning of 7 takes away all rlthe stakes of these games. that his daughter rose who is a reincarnation of evalyn who is able to control molded creatures the same mold that the t-virus is made of basically makes her a god who is able to control army's of the undead in resident evil a series well known for happy living people. All this being cannon and tied to the series as a whole has lasting ramifications and basically **** on the series as a whole. By introducing imortal molded beings all you need is some mystic magic mumbo jumbo and boom you can create your loved ones who are dead from mold that can't die. Way to go Capcom you made resident evil six look good with this one. The voice actors apart from two are awful the narrative is insulting the puzzles can't really be called that and could be solved by a five year old it's rediculiously easy even on the hardest mode it never truly feels terrifying apart from that monster baby bit. It may have good atmosphere but you will find yourself lolling into a state of ease with not much challenging you. It's a shame really I think that there is a good game underneath all the **** bug you have to dig really hard to find it. Re:8 ruined 7 games not counting the spinoff so that puts the score to one and I give it a point for that god damn monster baby scaring me stupid so a Two! And I gave re:6 a three so yeah **** this game thanks for destroying the lore of one of my favourite game series I'm done with this series it's dead now… Expand

    This is the worst game of this franchise capcom came up with. 7 was a promising restart of the series, but they failed this one, the classic late resident evil **** again ruined everything again

    Oh, what a let down, another game which puts graphics over gameplay. What was once a fantastic video game series has become a shadow of its former self. Sure, the atmospherics were great combining soundtrack with the environment but gameplay is king and that’s wherein the problem lies. Why is it that more and more games are relying on graphics to disguise the lack of quality gameplay ?Oh, what a let down, another game which puts graphics over gameplay. That’s why I was surprised when I couldn’t even make it past the first area in the game with the things that kind of look like Beast from X-Men. I spent almost an hour trapped in that first house trying to find a way out until I figured out that you can, indeed, kill them. Then it became a process of me frantically looking for where to go next before being slaughtered by a large group of the beast creatures. Rinse and repeat for two hours before I decided to just opt for a refund. No idea what I was doing wrong. I’ve heard others say it’s pretty easy. One of the biggest issues I had was picking up items. Sometimes I would be standing right next to it with the icon highlighted, but it’s like the button just wouldn’t register. The start of the game was also confusing and didn’t feel like RE to me. Controls were clunky, which I guess is to be expected. The enemies also felt more out of something like Devil May Cry or even like the orca from LotR. Main character seemed lame. His reactions just didn’t make sense, especially considering he’s been through this before. I didn’t play 7, so maybe that would help. Also had problems seeing because it was too dark.    … Expand

    Being forced to play the mercenaries game mode has taking this game from sold 9 game to a 1 such a bad game mode then it’s just full of rng. And make it worse every time you die you have to go through the annoying task of doing load out again. How can you make such a good game then do such a bad job with this Game mode. Idiots

    Типичный резидент, мы запихнём игрока в коробку, и пусть он там бегает от толпы врагов без патронов и без понятия, что делать дальше. К сюжету и его реализации вопросов нету, но вот геймплей отвратительный.

    We are moving to a place where all games lose their edge to appeal to the masses. This at the cost of daring something and relying on what already worked. Resident evil 8 is not scary for a horror game, while that is it's genre. Stop appealing to the masses I don't want to play the same game in a different color

    I really liked the game. I am a fan of the entire series and the universe, I have a tradition of taking platinum in every numbered part. Now, my point is that the mandatory mercenary mode for platinum is horrible and disgusting. Anyone who has guessed to make it mandatory for platinum must be immediately dismissed from the company.
    I don’t want to play it anymore, I remove all collector's    I really liked the game.     When i saw this game on First person Shooter again . i was shocked ... that was my end for Resident evil series . The game end it up like outlast in a very bad way . no one ever thought of making it duo like Resident evil 0 with a new graphics engine etc . I personally don't like FPS games .. so it is not for me anymore .

    The game is just great! The plot is addictive, the management is generally pleasant, in some parts it's creepy. Passed 4 times to collect all the trophies (played on PS4)! BUT!!! Why was it necessary to go through the stupid S-rank mercenary mode to get platinum????? Only because of this low score!!!

    Terrible game defiantly not even worth the sale price. The game mechanics are from the Stone Age and manages to make it even less fun than games with **** graphics. The story is not engaging and doesn’t make sense. At least with re7 it was on psvr so it had that going for it but now all the scares I’ve seen so far fail to deliver even harder except for the jumps your not expecting but ITerrible game defiantly not even worth the sale price. Se colocassem outro nome ia combinar melhor, a capcom simplesmente fez um jogo qualquer e genericão e usou o nome Resident Evil pra fazer mais sucesso, é um dos piores "Resident Evil" que já joguei e ainda usaram uma coroa peituda pra atrair essa geração de zé brônha, que confesso que ela é a melhor parte do jogo, realmente rsrsrs TodoIsso é Resident Evil mesmo ou foi um engano?     After being absolutely blown away playing Resident Evil Biohazzard I was so ramped up rdy for its first sequel The Village that I could hardly contain myself while it was installing and updating. An at the start I was just as impressed with the grafix and and atmosphere of it that i jumped right in expecting a great game. I mean seriously who the hell came up with this garbage idea of vampires and werewolves in a game series based on a viral outbreak cause by an evil bio tech corporation. It in no way follows the story of its predecessor apart from the fact that it has the same lead character in it. Who ever at capcom thought this was a good idea needs to be fired immediately. It just dosent make sence to me at all. What a truly disapointing sequel this has turned out to be. Total garbage… Expand

    PS5 is too weak to run this in 4k 60fps with ray tracing. Drops frames constantly. On Series X it runs a buttery smooth 4k 60fps with ray tracing and HDR. Never drops.a frame ever.

    Just a mess, no horror and no good action. Capcom doesnt know what to do, they want to make someting that is for everyone but thats impossible. re2 was so good, re7 too. i hope they get on track again. (sry bad english)

    Resi 8 versucht alles gleichzeitig zu sein und alle Fans abzuholen. Erst mal das Dorf wie in Teil 4, ein Haus/schloss wie in Teil 1+2, dann noch ein mr x/nemesis-Ersatz, ein großer Fisch wie in Teil 4, Action Geballer wie in Teil 4/5/6. für mich der schlechteste Teil der Reihe, weil er sich nicht entscheiden kann was er sein möchte.

Does it want to b a shooter with some jumps scares? Or maybe a graphically sound game with detective aspects and shooting? I was really hoping RE8 would reclaim its title as the king of horror.     Similarly to Resident Evil 4 back in the day, Village will attract a new generation of players and redefine the franchise for the modern age. I guess it’s time to stop looking back and counting on the series to return to its roots. Capcom is well aware of those roots and willingly draws from them to create something new but still infused with Resident Evil’s spirit. Village is not perfect, but neither was RE4, and once again it’s easy to turn a blind eye to the flaws, because overall it’s an amazing game. [07/2021, p.56]

    Resident Evil Village feels like such a culmination. Bringing together elements from the franchise all the way up to now and crafting what looks to be the next step of survival horror, it embraces every aspect of the franchise. While the insidious dread of Resident Evil VII is missing, there are still plenty of scares. The monster designs are fantastic, from the generations undead, the fury of the Lupine beasts, to the towering monstrosities. It's well worth delving into the concept art and 3D models to enjoy them fully. The story is just the right amount of silly with the terrifying, and the odd dash of the surreal. The combat is smooth and fluid, best evidenced in the addictive Mercenaries mode. All of these elements added together make quite possibly the best Resident Evil to date, and a foundation for a fresh new generation of terror.

    RE: Village is a mixture of almost all previous Resident Evil elements, making the most of both survival horror and puzzle intensity, but with the primary stage being left for the more action-like nature of Resident Evil 4. It has some great story moments, sprinkled with a few lacklustre characters that are still overshadowed by its most notable characteristic – most detailed environment to date.
