The RT mode really kills the game's framerates; it does look visually better, but runs very poorly. With RT mode off, you get a solid 60fps (just like the PS4 version running on PS5) and the option of 120fps target which I couldn't test myself. The advertised 3D audio feature seems to be here to some extent, but again it's not that noticable and I couldn't compare it to the PS4 release.
Also there are no additional content, as mentioned by Capcom.

Still the best survival horror, on PS5 ray-tracing and 3D audio add a lot to the atmosphere (though high performance mode is a little iffy). [Issue#17, p.75]

Capcom hasn't gone to any great lengths with its updated PS5 version of Resident Evil 2, offering fans and newcomers two imperfect graphical modes to choose from. Very speedy load times will have you immersed in a flash, though, and the support for the PS5's adaptive triggers adds another extra wrinkle on top. Resident Evil 2 is still every bit as good as it was three years ago; this PS5 version simply gives you the chance to experience it all over again with further shine.
