    Simply incredible! Graphics are unbelievable! Characters are flawless and so is the story ! I loved every minute of it . Insomniac are probably the best developers in the industry now !

    It was a great showcase in PlayStation 5. The portals were showed that how SSD technology improved over time. I appreciate Sony to invest this monster SSD.

    You will be surprised many times in this game. The second part is literally twice as exciting and entertaining as the first part. Unlike the first part, side missions were designed to be enjoyable and attractive.

    Best graphics this generation. Amazing art style and character designs. Extremely fun gameplay loop with very original weapons. Rivet is just a lovely character and very charismatic . Dualsense integration is top notch. Truly a ps5 killer app

    Go for it ! The Game is a complete blast to play from start to end. Eye catching visuals and totally enjoyable game-play. I wish they have named it Ratchet & Rivet instead, because its Rivet that gets more screen presence among all the characters. I definitely had loads of fun playing it ! Worthy addition to PS5 exclusives.

    This is the closest to cinema quality I have seen. There is no line between cuts and gameplay. The haptic on the controller and the triggers is great. This is the first time playing a game I am not thinking about the next graphics card or console and what could be next.     If I had to give a negative it is a bit short for the price however considering all the other advancements and work that has gone in a sacrifice of length is worth it. If you spend time doing all side quests and collectibles you can probably finish the game in 12-14hrs depending how quick you are. There's multiple types of puzzle missions that are all entertaining. 0 load times make for a game that runs incredibly smoothly. I don't think there's something in this game I can change to improve it tbh. While it is short compared to some other R&C games, it is on par with the first ratchet and Clank or into the nexus in terms of length the extra content makes it worth it and the narrative also fits very well into the current length.… Expand

    Incredible game, for me until now best ps exclusive on ps5. Great graphics clearly made for next gen and not cross gen, great story interesting even for folks that never played ratchet, great gaming mechanics, rewarding weapons build up and collectibles… Really well worth playing and great start for ps5 exclusives.

It's a shame that there are no more board races. Glitchka's character beams viruses through a shooter, in a game that is already a shooter, it's not great. I would like a puzzle.     What a fantastic game. I've never played a ratchet and clank game before rift apart, but oh boy was I surprised how much I ended up enjoying this game. This game has the perfect level of difficulty on the hardest level. I actually ended up getting all of the collectables in this game and that's something I rarely do.     it is fun and it is beautiful. What else You need from Ratchet & Clank ? :) Every aspect of the game on Top level. Yes - it is not reboot like God of War 2018 but who said it will be reboot. It is another good old Ratchet and Clank (and Rivet)

    PROS:
    - Visual presentation so good, graphics so refined, you'll feel like you're playing a Pixar movie
    - Character focused story expands upon characters and universe without being inaccesable to new players
    - Multiple visual modes (Performance, 4k w/ RT, etc)
    - Refined gameplay mechanics with a mixture of old and new mechanics within stunning set pieces
    - Upgrade trees for each weapon
    - Extemely varied locations that encourage and reward exploration
    - Varied, inventive arsenal of appropriate themed weaponry
    - PS5 SSD allows for an entire gameworld to instantaniously change from one state to another (honestly shocking the first time it happens) or transport a charcater between completely different locations with no loading.
    - Story focuses on Ratchet and Rivet equally, developing/elevating both chracters without having to degrade either
    - Ridiculous attention to details (lighting, animation, voice overs, texture work, even hairs blowing in the breeze)
    - You can spend an embarrasing amount of time in the photo mode with all the options
    - DualSense implimentation is FLAWLESS and is by far the best example of how game changing Sony's new controller is with its haptic technology.

    CONS:
    - I miss the Disco grenade and the "Pixelate" gun from the remake.

    This is a system seller, easily 10/10 on every front. This is the game (for now) that you show off to your gaming friends who don't have a PS5 yet (sorry guys).

    The gameplay is as close to perfect as you can get and the visual presentation is so good that people who don't know better will think you're watching a movie. Absolute must have.    … Expand

The surprise hasIts a rare occasion, but im grateful to report R&C rift apart really is a perfect 10.     First AAA game I've played in years that I've really enjoyed, even played new game+ which I also haven't done in a long time. Beautiful game. Gameplay is extremely smooth. Could have used more side quests but I love the ones that exist, quality over quantity imo. One other complaint is I wished when weapons upgraded they behaved more differently, I personally didn't notice much of aFirst AAA game I've played in years that I've really enjoyed, even played new game+ which I also haven't done in a long time.     I give this game a ten, and it deserves. It’s finally a real entry for the new generation of consoles. My last R&C game was Crack in Time ages ago. So I was not overhyped or expecting this high level of entertainment. The colors ,the light effects, the movement, the enviroments, just breathtaking. The developers put their souls onto that, and they deserve all the praise. I haven’t finishedI give this game a ten, and it deserves. It’s finally a real entry for the new generation of consoles. The lowest point is the price. In my country it got really expensive, even for our standards and the irony is how such childlike game can be so distant for a kid to enjoy. I believe there are few parents willing to pay for an expensive console and an expensive game for their kids nowadays. Speaking about gameplay, the "low" point is the camera, I’m having some camera issues ending in some cheap deaths, but nothing that can ruin the experience. So, this game is a masterpiece, great pace, charismatic characters, stunning level design, great voice acting even in my native language. I’m not going to say it'sp like playing a Pixar movie.     Truly a next gen game! Also as a mild ratchet fan this is an instant classic that is easily one of the best in the series. Nothing to complain about. Ratchet improves so much visually with each installment, I can’t even fathom how good the next one will look!

    As an long time Ratchet and Clank fan this is one the best entries in the series. The visuals and action scenes are truly spectacular. By far the best gameplay the series has ever seen. The only negative thing I have with the game is I wish it was longer!

    Hoping Insomniac continues to make great entries into this beloved series.

    My expectations were exceeded, as a fan of the series from the first game released in 2002, this game has blown me away on every single level, Insomniac have set the bar for what a PS5 game should be. Graphics, gameplay, story and reliability is just fantastic.

    Proper next gen title... and then some. Probably the best R&C game ever and one of the best games of the year. Insomnicac did an immense job with this title and the only bad thing about it is that a game this good and polished takes A LOT of time.Can't wait fo the next one!!!

    Without getting into spoiler territory, the story has a lot of heart. Characters are excellent and written in ways that make them easy to fall in love with.
    Graphically Rift Apart is stunning and an exciting glimpse into what this generation of consoles (and new PC games by extension) will hold.
    The most critical critic review mentions too many bugs. and in my dozens of hours I've encountered 0 game bugs, 0 crashes, and only a couple UI bugs. Floating text broke away from a tab in the menu when I navigated too quickly, but it goes away the moment the menu is closed and didn't inhibit my playing at all.    … Expand

    Graphics : probably the best I’ve ever seen, and I’m not just talking from a technical point of view but also in terms of design. The different planets are so unique, colorful, vibrant, the level design is top notch., I’m playing in RT Performance mode, and the lightning and ray tracing are beautiful. The details on Ratchet’s face are mind blowing.

    Gameplay : this is a big one. The game blends melee combat, shooting (with many, fun and varied weapons), platforming (classic platforming, swinging, rail surfing, wall running, racing, flying, even catapulting), exploration, puzzle solving and even beat em up sections. Also, the photo mode is insane. I keep taking pictures left and right. The game is relatively short but you have quite a lot of collectibles to find and make you busy without being overwhelming. And it’s definitely a game that screams for a second playthrough.

    Characters and story : of course the story is not as deep and complex as The Witcher 3 or Naughty Dog games for example, but it is great for what it is. The characters are fun and adorable, even the baddies, Ratchet is a great hero, the ennemies are fun and diverse, the atmosphere is awesome. I also love the humour in the game.

    Technical innovation : this game could totally be marketed as a PS5 tech demo. It uses the Dual Sense controller perfectly and it makes the game very immersive. Also, the SSD is used to perfection and allows new gameplay possibilities like teleporting instantly inside of a map, which is very impressive and makes the experience truly next gen.

    In conclusion, this will probably be my game of the year. Can’t recommand it enough. Bravo Insomniac, can’t wait for a sequel !    … Expand

    The support characters lack a bit of personality that they’d have had in previous games, but otherwise this is an absolutely fantastic addition to the series.

    This has some creative ideas visually, and is stunning in many places. The combat is refined and very fun. You’re missing out if you don’t pick this up.

    Nunca había jugado a un Ratchet y no podía haber cogido mejor título. Qué maravilla. El doblaje al castellano es maravilloso, los gráficos son como ver una película de animación renderizada en tiempo real, a nivel de jugabilidad puedes hacer de todo es un constante frenetismo, muchas opciones de armas, muchos escenarios, el juego es muy dinámico y te sorprende constantemente. La historiaNunca había jugado a un Ratchet y no podía haber cogido mejor título. Qué maravilla. El doblaje al castellano es maravilloso, los gráficos son como ver una película de animación renderizada en tiempo real, a nivel de jugabilidad puedes hacer de todo es un constante frenetismo, muchas opciones de armas, muchos escenarios, el juego es muy dinámico y te sorprende constantemente. La historia esta graciosa, es entretenida no disgusta. A mi me ha durado casi 10 horas (marca 9 la Playstation pero es un poco más porque sólo registra de hora en hora) y yo soy el típico que va directo en la historia y no se desvía, si exploras y te sales de la historia principal cuando se te dan las opciones el juego seguro se alarga.     I know I’m late to the party but wow the game is just beautiful and plays smooth. I haven’t finished it yet but I’d recommend it to everyone who want to just chill and have fun playing a great game

    High octane action, amazing voice acting, touching story, and beautiful graphics (just eye candy for you to watch). You can feel the passion that the developers put into this game. The only complaint I have is the lack of enemy and boss variety. You must play this if you have a Ps5. Worth the 70$ for the replayability. I feel bad for people who haven't gotten a Ps5 yet.

    This game is stunning. Even in performance mode, might be best looking game ever. Blast to play and it has best story of any game in the series. It’s a must play if u have a ps5. And if don’t have one, this is the game you have to play first when u do get one. 100/10

    In terms of gameplay, graphics, story and fluid combat mechanics this game is a clear 10/10 to me. The game performs incredibly well with practically no loading times, no bluescreens, no frame dips and looks absolutely stunning. The sound could use a bit more room depths for enhanced surround systems but besides that also performs very well. One small let down for me is the price of 79.99€In terms of gameplay, graphics, story and fluid combat mechanics this game is a clear 10/10 to me. The sound could use a bit more room depths for enhanced surround systems but besides that also performs very well. One small let down for me is the price of 79.99€ for the standard edition for a 15hr platinum game on standard difficulty and at times I feel they recycled certain enemies (one boss in particular) a bit too much. Also you can get stuck easily at some places. Still the game is insanely fun and time flies while playing it which is why I decided to give it a 10 but I would recommend to wait for a small price drop of 10-20% if you are tight on the money side. I think the playtime will vary between 8 to 20hrs depending on how good you are, if you go for story only or 100% and which difficulty you pick.

    After I dropped the first Ratched I was sceptical about this one. After 18 hours on the max difficulty and Platinum trophy, I can say that this is one of the most amazing games I've ever played. The graphics, gameplay, guns, and DualSence support are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend it to everyone.

I got the 2016 reboot from the PS+ collection about a month ago to see if I enjoyed it, which I did. But this game, this game is something special. The only downside is that it isn't that long of a game, but I personally prefer quality over quantity. Also, if you truly explore the beautifully designed areas, look for collectibles, and do the optional side missions, this game can definitely take you well into the 25+ hours mark. There is also an NG+ mode for people looking for an even tougher challenge. As someone who never really dived deep into the Ratchet and Clank series, I can firmly say that this game is a true masterpiece that should be experienced by every gamer that owns a PS5.… Expand

    I'm 93% done with the game and I can say that this game is truly a gem that needs to be experienced firsthand on the PS5. This has by far been my most favorite platform genre of game on the PS5 and I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone else.

Locomotion feels really tight and quick, plus it's great always having the hoverboots. The graphics are 10 steps above any previous R&C game, making effective use of ray tracing tech. Not gonna lie,Just finished the game. What a ride! The story isn't anything profound, but it is certainly entertaining. The guns all felt great, thanks in part to the satisfying use of the haptic triggers. Locomotion feels really tight and quick, plus it's great always having the hoverboots. The graphics are 10 steps above any previous R&C game, making effective use of ray tracing tech. For the ppl who wanna flex their illiteracy TL;DR: ratchet and clank is finally back with a proper game. If you liked the old games you will love this one as well. No to give some pros and cons. Pros: The game is absolutely beautiful. The music is very well composed. While there is no track in here that will end up in you playlist every single piece fits perfectly into the atmosphere. The worlds offer some good variety. The characters are mostly charming as ever (didn't like nefarious in this one but judge it for yourself) and especially rivet and another new character (you will know who I mean once you meet her) are a absolutely brilliant. Hopefully they will become a main stable for the series from here on out. The gameplay was fun as ever even tho I mostly ended up missing some of my favorite weapons like the groovitron or the sgeepinator. The dimensional stuff shown in the gameplay fits very well into this platformer and gives this game way more depth during combat than the earlier titles. The ai is one of the best in the series. The story itself was amazing as well (even though a bit rushed at the end imo). All in all a very good game that I am happy I picked up. The wait was worth it. Cons: the game was way too easy to platinum. Even easier than the ps4 game. The game is almost a bit too short. I feel like 3 more worlds and a more fleshed out ending would have given this game the perfect length. There are still a lot of bugs in the game. Most are only grafical but I also encountered some bugs where I clipped through the floor. Finally the price is too high. In my country 80€ for amount of content ain't great. As memtioned earlier it felt like three was something missing. Like a more fleshed out ending. All in all a brilliant game. While a crack in time still remains as the best RnC game Rift apart manages to hold it's own next to it. The game is way more than just a tech demo for the ps5. Give this game a shot but maybe wait a bit for a small scale!… Expand

This game not only continues the journey, it pushes it to newer heights than ever before by expanding their universe into a multiverse instead.

    Ratchet and Clank return as our heroes but are quickly joined by two new characters, Rivet and... well, let's just say another. At no point in this game do you ever feel like there are only 2 main characters, rather it's always 4 with the story wonderfully focusing on them all equally along the way. As you explore several planets and meet the people who live on them with a balance of space travel and supernatural, it's hard not to think of Star Wars or other space opera stories as each location is as delightful as the last. With witty dialogue, a lot of humor, and downright wholesome and emotional moments, the cast feels so wonderful to spend time with. With PS5 technology you can also feel this through all their facial expressions, which compliment the beautiful world and environments surrounding them, as well as the stunning animations. This game simply looks beautiful at every twist and turn.

    Gameplay wise is also another level of perfection as each weapon was made with intention by the developers to be "someone's favorite" which makes each one feel so good to use. Mix this in with super intense boss fights, lots of fun challenges, and the levels themselves being a rush to play, and you have a game that you never want to put down because you're having too much fun. The music also reflects this by always having the perfect ambiance in each level, battle, and making each cutscene more intense.

    There was no one part of Rift Apart that made this game perfection, because every piece of this game's foundation was perfect as they built it. Personally, my favorite part of this game was it's characters. Ratchet is still our hero, but Rivet gets this whole game to build her up as 'also' our hero. Emperor Nefarious is wonderful, and that's all I'll say about that to avoid spoilers. But the new characters were not the only reason the characters were my favorite; the overall character development and dialogue of this cast knocked the whole game out of the part. They have real struggles, real growth, and so many wholesome moments that are too adorable for words! This game is seriously a good feels game from beginning to end, even when things are going bad for our heroes, you always have a shining light. And usually, that light is the cast itself.

    I could go on for several more paragraphs on what a perfect game Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart is, but in short: Amazing story, fun to play, intense from beginning to end, fantastic (and wholesome) characters both old and new, and both the continuation and beginning of a great world.     What’s so good about this installment of Ratchet and Clank is that it is a true labor of love. There is no other way a game can feel so good, play so well, and take you on an impressive adventure all without that special ingredient to keep it going. The definition of a next-gen title, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a must-play that will leave you super satisfied and hungry for another big game like this one.
