    Pneumata combines gameplay from modern Resident Evil and the Outlast series, and fans of both games will appreciate the author's good intentions. But a number of shortcomings and design flaws make it difficult to recommend.

    Pneumata is an ambitious first-person horror game considering it's made a by a solo developer. But while it looks rather nice and succeeds in creating a tense atmosphere, there are numerous issues that ultimately bring it down considerably.

    The dark atmosphere and thrilling plot are essential elements of a good horror. Pneumata has both, but it also has a few technical issues.

    With a good start, very versatile combat and interesting atmospheric construction, Pneumata stumbles in a labyrinthine and frustrating level design, where even the most gentle situations can become terrifying, but not in a positive way.
