    One of the worst games ever made. Bring back the original game. This sequel is worse in every way

    if we don't talk about the greed that is Activision Blizzard this game is a fun time, the characters are well written, most of the game modes are well put together, "although not the most fleshed out", and the art team is just amazing. If this game had just kept a few things from the overwatch 1 wouldn't have this many bad reviews.

    Can't say it's the same game as 2016. OVERWATCH 2 SUCKS! They spoiled the masterpiece of 2016. The new maps are obnoxious, forgettable! Servers crashing at the end of the match. The game lost its originality and essence. Who plays overwatch today is because they don't have money to buy a game.

    I was excited for the sequel and the future promised PVE content. Year later hearing the skill trees have been scrapped and the leveling with the heroes in that mode. It kind of dampers it a bit for me. The worst is them admitting they knew the PVE was too much for them to handle and still they continued like it hadn't been partly scrapped. Basically this game lost the plot along the way.I was excited for the sequel and the future promised PVE content. While starving us of new fun content on Overwatch 1 for like 3 years. I'm also upset at the 5V5 component. Tanks are hard to balance and even in 5V5 they are still hard to balance. Look at Characters like Doomfist. Also the prices for the skins are just... I seriously didn't think getting rid of loot boxes would somehow backfire on the community like it has. The phone number requirement I think is a good choice. It helps crackdown on some "not all" smurfs in the game. A positive would be the nostalgia I have for the game. Been playing it since 2016. The gameplay is fun and when it's good it's damn good. But when it's bad it's really bad. Oh also almost forgot the new mode they introduced Flashpoint is kinda, meh for me. I thought at the time it was just gonna be for the arcade mode. Apparently not. My friends really hate it but I don't mind it so much. Also putting a price on the PVE content is a little scummy. Blizzard should have made this first batch of PVE free for the community and then made people pay for the second batch of PVE content. Make it an apology for how things have been for the passed couple years. I think that would have been fair. It's not like their going under with $30 priced D.va, Mercy Bundles. Now I'm glad they're adding new exciting heroes into the game again. That's always gonna be a positive. Even if they come out broken as hell and need a patch to tone them down a bit. So yeah Overwatch isn't the game it used to be and it probably never will be that game again. I can't fully recommend it myself and promise you'll have a blast playing it as a new comer. Give it another year or so and if you start hearing good things about it and it's still free to play then maybe it'll be a good time to pick it up.… Expand

    It's clear that Blizzard has no idea what they're doing. They scrapped the whole reason they said why they were replacing Overwatch with Overwatch 2. The characters are terribly imbalanced and the monetization is terrible. Overwatch 2 is a huge waste of time.

    This game is what happens when you remove everything good about your game, go back on every promise made, remove the original (which was better), and introduced a scummy microtransaction system that actually destroys the integrity of competitive matches.... I spent thousands of hours in OW1, but I couldn't bring myself to spend more than 30 minutes in OW2

    Game is empty promises and blizzard are liars. Nothing new but a pay wall now and they just slapped a 2 on the end of the name. Lazy developers who does nothing but lie just to make money. Overwatch fans wake up and play something better and better supported.

    I BOUGHT OW1 RETAIL, one of the best tactical shooters ever. Then Blizzard RUINED IT by replacing it with OW2 FREE-TO-PLAY. OW2 still is an OK GAME, but OW1 was a GREAT GAME, BETTER in every aspect. Therefore, as a retail customer I feel betrayed by LESS gameplay, LESS balance and LESS rewards in OW2. I understand that Blizzard has to make profits, but it would have been better if they hadI BOUGHT OW1 RETAIL, one of the best tactical shooters ever. Then Blizzard RUINED IT by replacing it with OW2 FREE-TO-PLAY. OW2 still is an OK GAME, but OW1 was a GREAT GAME, BETTER in every aspect. Therefore, as a retail customer I feel betrayed by LESS gameplay, LESS balance and LESS rewards in OW2.     Coming from Overwatch I can't give the game more than 7/10 even though I still enjoy the game. I just wish it didn't go free to play. I don't like the battle pass system and also the fact that most of the good cosmetics are locked in the shop. All the different currencies confuse me. Invasion is not worth the hype and I still can't find the hero challenges. Is there anything new inComing from Overwatch I can't give the game more than 7/10 even though I still enjoy the game. I just wish it didn't go free to play. I don't like the battle pass system and also the fact that most of the good cosmetics are locked in the shop. All the different currencies confuse me. Invasion is not worth the hype and I still can't find the hero challenges. Is there anything new in practice range other than new bots? I don't know. Competitive is less rewarding than before. I prefer to get SR points after every game.
    Overall the game is still fun but you can't help to think that it could be so much better. That's huge considering Overwatch was already an excellent game. The least they could do was just leave it as it was but they managed to do worse.    … Expand

    Blizzard is trash, now and forever. don't fall for this gotcha pos game. it's hard to justify Blizzard is a good company. for anyone who really cares coming from the first one this is 100% a slap in the face.

    This game is terribly unbalanced. Their fix to every issue seems to be to buff damage. They first announced the game with videos of co-op campaigns where you could update the character’s abilities, but have yet to release any campaign content. Every skin they release is lazy with mostly slight differences from previous skins. They also charge no less than $20 for one of these lazy skins.This game is terribly unbalanced. It’s obvious that the only reason they “updated” to Overwatch two was to introduce a battle pass system and to charge crazy prices for skins. This game is an obvious cash-grab that blizzard puts very little effort in. VI spent a lot of time playing Overwatch 1 and was very excited when they announced the 2nd one.     Blizzard continues to disappoint. Overwatch was one of the only first-person shooters I enjoyed playing, and now I won't be playing anymore. I can not stand the scummy P2P bs and will not support companies that continue to use these business models in their games.

    Second - somewhat playable, but only like any generic mobile hero shooter with awful monetization.... and there are many better games in this category already...
    They managed to ruin like 90% of good things that existed in the first game...

Free lootboxes are gone and have instead been replaced with battle pass skins or straight 20-25 dollar skins .bugs and exploits are rampant in overwatch 2 .the competitive matchmaking andWriting this review in June 2023 .     It’s a scam! They downgraded from the original game all under the guise that the massive pve would come save the day. It’s been canceled. All we get are overpriced skins and hero’s locked behind a paywall! It’s not worth your time! Don’t play!

    The game developers lied about promised and showcased content for half a year of releases. Pretty much downgraded the game in every aspect with the only addition being micro transactions.

    The whole point of Overwatch 2 was that it was going to have a campaign and other new gameplay features. Unfortunately they decided that the campaign they had as a main selling point for people to get into this game has been canceled and will never see the light of day.     Overwatch 2 has the same strengths as the first game. It's a new version of an enjoyable multiplayer shooter. But it lacks many essential things. The servers don't work well, it doesn't have a lot of new content and buying new stuff is extremely expensive. The gameplay is excellent, and the foundation is set, but there's still a long road ahead.

    It’s really difficult to even grade this game. Should it be called “Overwatch 2” at all? And how is it going to grow? Right now, it brings next to nothing to veterans but still remains a very good team shooter.
