Nickelodeon Kart Racer 3 Slime Speedway is a karting game that copies the foundation of the genre, offers lots of characters and a good amount of courses and modes to unceremoniously fill many hours of your time. It's not a bad game, but it's not top-notch either. Younger players who like Nickelodeon cartoons might appreciate it as a gift.

Ultimately, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is a competent karting game. It looks nice, there’s plenty of single player content, and it boasts a strong roster of characters and tracks. But did we need another game in the series? Could the new content and characters not simply be an expansion to the previous release? Questions we’ll never know the answer to. If you already own Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2, you’re not exactly getting a completely new experience. But if you’re new to the franchise and enjoy easy-going karting games, you likely won’t be disappointed with what is undoubtedly the best entry yet.

It's definitely not Mario Kart (but neither Crash Team Racing, for that matter), but Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3 Slime Speedway is enjoyable for Nicktoons' fans.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is the ideal game to break out for a night of family fun, especially if you have kids in need of entertainment. The colorful cast of familiar faces, as well as a host of stunning tracks, makes for a perfect party game if you can get enough people into the same room...However, its surprising amount of depth is wasted by an unchallenging AI and lack of real opponents to face online, meaning that solo racers without any love for Nickelodeon’s shows will find little incentive to carry on once the novelty has worn off.

Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway isn’t the worst kart racer I’ve ever played, but again, it’s also not the best especially when compared to previous entries in the series. As previously mentioned, Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is a middle of the road racer in almost every aspect save for its character roster, graphics, and elements like picking three characters to be part of your pit crew.

This kart racer is for the Nickelodeon fans and families alike. It’s an approachable entry for newcomers as it has a lot of reimagined content from the first two games. It’s also accessible, with a low skill barrier for entry that admittedly can go surprisingly high for experienced players. There’s a lot of content to get through but you’ll have seen the best of it after a hours and it doesn’t stand out amongst its peers, outside of featuring a load of Nickelodeon IPs.

***sorry this is a review for the switch version of nickelodeon slime racer 3, not the PS5 version and now I can't take it down.***First off I***sorry this is a review for the switch version of nickelodeon slime racer 3, not the PS5 version and now I can't take it down.***First off I am very very many years older than the target demographic for a nickelodeon cartoon. But I am familiar with the teenage mutant ninja turtles and maybe a couple other nickelodeon characters, like sponge Bob. However I did buy their kart racer 1 and 2 so I was going to give 3 a shot, at the right price at some point, and that's not the 49$ and 59$ they were originally asking. But on sell, sure I will bite. I was intrigued by looking at the YouTube gameplay and realized it reminded me more of sonic and Sega All-stars racing transformed minus sonic than Mario kart. And since I've been wanting sonic transformed on switch since I've owned a switch and not the horrible sonic racing game Sega actually gave, I was even more intrigued. Well kart racer 3 went on sale and I bought it, and yep it's a cross between sonic transformed and Mario kart. The cars don't transform into aircrafts, but they do transform into boats and of course it's missing sonic. But other than that I think it's a very good kart racing game. It has 3 speeds and I can see how kids will get a kick out of this, and adults too. The voice overs are often so I turned down the voice volume but the graphics are nice and I don't know if it had any frame rate issues but they have ironed most of them out as I have noticed no problems. It's typical kart racing and I like that the gas and slide are mapped like most racing game buttons. To the R and L triggers. Not like Mario kart I like that they gave me actual humans characters to race as at the very start of the game and not just SpongeBob. I like everything this game does and I have and will be playing it a lot. Like I said, I'm older than their target audience and Im not familiar with all the nickelodeon characters but I must say, if you can get this game on sale or you like kart racing or you were a fan of sonic transformed this is the next best thing Full Review »
