    I'm loving it so far, handling and physics are a lot more polished than Heat, it allows much closer racing and it really shows in online. Customization better, sounds better, world better and more alive. I love the art-style of characters and I really don't mind the effects, it's just something new and sets the game further apart from other franchises.

    I have not finished the story yet but I am enjoying it a lot more than the story in heat. There are some cringe dialogue but it's not as bad as people make it out to be.
    I am also enjoying the progression more as it seems a lot slower paced.
    If you have enjoyed the recent NFS and don't mind criterion trying to set the franchise apart from other racing titles, then I really recommend this game.

    Very fun game! Graphics are great! I’ve been staying up all night playing NFS Unbound. Just wish they’ll add more things to do online and add Toyota and Audi cars as well.

    Brought back my love for racing games. Performance on PS5 at 4k 60fps. Great character creator. Great vehicle customization. Beautiful city of Lakeshore (Chicago, Illinois). Excellent story and an aesthetic that stands out from any other racing game. All they need is to continue to provide updates to this game. They let go of NFS Heat too early but this could be the one.     One of the best games in the series. Criterion did a really good job, the game has everything for both new players and old ones. good atmosphere, gameplay, variety of tuning, car physics, everything is at a good level.

    Best need for speed game since Most Wanted era. If they release post launch content as promised this will be in my top 3. Online experience is seamless on PS5, we just need bigger servers and cops. Solid Game, very fun.

    A really good arcade racing game !
    -The story was simple but good enough -cars have a really good feeling compared to heat ,payback ,etc...
    -races and pursuit are challeging I just hope that Criterion is gonna add content over time and it's perfect /

    Love the game and really appreciate what Criterion has put together. I was skeptical coming from a great comeback game in NFS Heat, which was developed by Ghost Games, and seeing that Criterion would be developing Unbound. I have been happily surprised at how well the game has been put together and the improvements this game has made coming from Heat.     Need for Speed Unbound it has finally added the opportunity to use the grip driving that we requested so much more than 10 years ago (Via vehicle settings in game menu). This game aspires to be the best NFS of the decade.

    First time in years, this NFS game is great! I am so glad that it came out better than it looked in trailers. Gameplay is fun, effects brings something new and as a rap fan, I also really like soundtrack. At least give it a chance.

    This game is off the hook!!! I am shocked there was not more marketing for this game before it came out. This is racing on next gen at its best. I am not going to compare this to other NFS games and I am looking at it from a next gen perspective... this is just awesome!!     Takes everything I loved about NFS Heat and improves on it. Runs smooth as silk, with minimal glitches, and the open world of Lakeshore looks absolutely gorgeous! The new character style and cartoon action accents actually add a feeling of intensity/exhilaration that works well with the tone of the game. The handling/car/race mechanics are much more stable and nuanced than Heat....muchTakes everything I loved about NFS Heat and improves on it. Runs smooth as silk, with minimal glitches, and the open world of Lakeshore looks absolutely gorgeous! The new character style and cartoon action accents actually add a feeling of intensity/exhilaration that works well with the tone of the game. The handling/car/race mechanics are much more stable and nuanced than Heat....much more enjoyable with high speed races. And, amazingly....the story and character interaction is really quite good this time. It's actually interesting! And funny amidst the in-car, over-the-phone chatter while roaming the world, looking for races and getting into/out of trouble with the cops.

    Unbound is a step in the right direction for sure. It really seems to be what NFS Heat should've been if they had more time. Driving model is not ideal but the addition of grip handling was a great idea for which fans begged for years. Other than that, story has a good premise but could be a lot more fleshed out. Customization is back albeit some parts are unfortunately missing. SoundtrackUnbound is a step in the right direction for sure. It really seems to be what NFS Heat should've been if they had more time. Driving model is not ideal but the addition of grip handling was a great idea for which fans begged for years. Other than that, story has a good premise but could be a lot more fleshed out. Customization is back albeit some parts are unfortunately missing. Soundtrack is maybe not outstanding but you won't bleed from your ears after one hour like in the 2019 outing of the NFS. Overall it is a great game that hopefully will become foundation for the future titles (with or without that art style).… Expand

    I was iffy on the street art cell shading effects but after playing for a couple hours it grew on me and like the extra customization it gives. The story in the game is good and the cops aren't too hard to get away from unlike heat during the early days after launch. The AI is a bit on the harder side but I liked the challenge. Story mode and online mode are separate, kinda like GTAV. Thankfully NFS Unbound brings so much style and personality coupled with great gameplay and sense of progression to win me over again !     I hadn't played NFS for a long time and came back to this with PS5. I have played for an hour or so but I really loved it. I see there is RPG aspect in this game that play time will be a lot to build up cars but I feel this is a very well made game.

But I wanted to have an easy game again where I can quickly grap the controller and enjoy some nice cars with good graphics and an easy story to follow. No need to setup the sim rig and to concentrate on the race. So NfS was an option and after the reviews I bought it. But I wanted to have an easy game again where I can quickly grap the controller and enjoy some nice cars with good graphics and an easy story to follow. No need to setup the sim rig and to concentrate on the race. So NfS was an option and after the reviews I bought it. I think my last NfS was Most Wanted and sure the old NfS Underground. I like Unbound! I like the new look! I like the idea how the story is build. Some races are really repetitive but that is ok, later you get more tracks to race on. I needed to rethink my driving as I was trying to stay clean and do not hurt my car :D but here we are allowed to crash around how we want. So I start to build my Fast and Furious car park, taking the Eclipse, Evo and Skyline in NfS design and relive somehow the movies ;) besides good graphic we have annoying cops, they appear way too often and the sound is weak, I want to hear engine sounds!!!! The community design option is pretty dope like in GT7, as I do not want to spend too much time on it, the community does great work on desgins. All in all it is a good game, a fun racer with stunning graphics of the cars. Driving feels easy and direct, race modes are cool. All I expected from a NfS game. Cool to have one again.… Expand

    While by no means perfect, Criterion's put the franchise back on the road with NFS Unbound. Oozing with originality, and giving players their fix however they want to play (whether in story mode, online, customizing cars, or outrunning the cops), Need for Speed Unbound is the strongest outing the series has had to date since Criterion's Hot Pursuit entry in 2010.

    This is truly one of the best NFS games in a decade, don't listen to the negative review bombs, they have no spine and are not objective. The graphics are next-gen, the driving is excellent, the soundtrack is amazing and the story is very engaging. The cop chases are truly engaging (expected from a Criterion game). The best NFS game in 10 years!

    After playing for 2 days I can confidently say that this is the best NFS I've played since a long time. The handling feels good, the graphics are really convincing and the game's theme is really well put together. And still haven't encountered a single bug, which is odd considering the current era we're in.

    Highly recommend.

    If you've loved arcade racers like Most Wanted 2005, Midnight Club LA, Burnout Paradise, Heat, then you'll likely love this game too. Frenetic 60fps racing fun in a beautiful big city that feels alive with plenty of traffic, pedestrians, and parked cars.

    Crazy enough I have played every need for speed to date since the first and I have to say this is probably the best NFS since Underground 2. I mean visually, gameplay and all of course not every game is perfect it could always be better but it’s a hell of a start for us true need for speed fans. We are headed in the right direction after so many years of being let down!!!

    It is really nice to drive down a hill with 350 km / h in an online racer and the physics actually giving you a feeling of enough control to feel good and a loss at high speeds of feeling challenging.

    - multiplayer NEEDS more stuff to do. But as it is labeled as Vol. 1 in the main menu, I have hopes they will add to it. Hopefully a season pass
    - The character customization is not satisfying because you can literally buy whatever you like from the beginning for $200. (They should have a different currency for outfits, I guess.

    For someone who has known and played this game series from the beginning, I can say that this part is by far the best NFS that has appeared in recent years. People always compare this part to the predecessor "Heat" which is also understandable, but "unbound" makes everything 2x better than in Heat.     The grind for cash is fun and rewarding. Saving and planning sessions to tackle the most events and get the most cash and make it home without being overwhelmed by police is a lot of fun.

    This game is fun and all in all, it is quite enjoyable for me.

    The game is undoubtedly good. But the fact that it even has a text translation into Russian upset me.
    Russian is the main language in all CIS countries, not only in Russia. It's a pity that EA decided to "cancel" it in their games.

    I played it and it feels like a completely different game, it's not those dull NSF with terrible physics, it's something else. I like the effects here, but you usually don't notice them and get used to it in a couple of minutes of playing. As for me, this is the best nsf at the moment

    When I saw the trailers I really didn't like the new graphic style with the anime elements, I then tested the game via ea play and the longer I play the game the more I like the mix of anime and photorealism. Also, the music in this game is really well chosen, the feeling and thrill of street racing or being chased by the cops is just incredible    NFS Unbound perspective of an NFS fan:

    Best nfs game since probably the last hot pursuit, it’s basically need for speed heat 2.0 but 100 times better they improved on every aspect of the game ,my favorite nfs game is nfs most wanted 2005 and this game brings my hopes back on the franchise, I hope they can keep going up from now on and improving. Thank god criterion is back they don’t miss.

    Just really fun. Great graphics. Unique art style. Cars are awesome. Soundtrack slaps. A better game than Forza Horizon 5 imo. Big surprise for sure but a great surprise.

    I am so happy that fun NFS game is back. Love the new art style. Racing during the rainy night with cops behind you and cool pumping soundtrack, it really got me. Car tuning is really nice and map is very well designed.

    If you like racing games like midnight club LA and many other arcade racing games you’ll love this game I believe it’s one of the best nfs games since 2005 has a great soundtrack and the graphics are really good on ps5 the dual sense controller makes it even a better experience give it at shot you won’t regret it

    I’ve only played 2 hours of it and I’m already enjoying it like from the days when I played nfs underground 1 n 2 and I have play every nfs game and it feels like I’m playing back in the old days but yeah all negative reviews are just forza kids coming to crap on a great game

    Fun gameplay, incredible graphics, and some of the characters grow on you but the story and dialog is mostly cringe. Payouts are a little on the low side so it can feel like a grind at first but still an absolute blast to play.

    I cannot explain how much I am in love with this game. Meanwhile it might not reach the level of the series greats, like infamous Most Wanted, it does follow the Most Wanted formula, which is catering to the current popculture. And it works just so good. The vibe and energy of cartoonish effects somehow fits in the streets of Lakeshore, not to mention the soundtrack, where some songs justI cannot explain how much I am in love with this game. This game series has always revolved itself around what is popular in car and music culture, and this game is no different.     It's much more fun, Unbound brought more ways to customize several things that lacked that extra touch that makes all the difference, handling improved with weight and grip, the new mechanics in the races were welcome for me too, the city is more alive , the whole game is more alive now

El juego es una completa maravilla visual, y en lo jugable es aún mejor, aun más si lo comparamos con entregas anteriores, la historia es más que cumplidora y te Incita a explorar los distintos modos de manejo, el agregado de poder correr con grip hace aún mejor la experiencia el manejo es diferente y después de que te adaptas a un set up resulta bastante agradable, en lo personal compre la palace edition solo por los días de juego anticipado pero no me arrepiento en lo absoluto de la compra, como todo, tiene sus detalles como que se desvíe el coche cuando utilizas el nitro en las curvas, y el tener que definir 1 sola pose de victoria lo hace parecer repetitivo, si se pudieran seleccionar varias para rotarlas sin necesidad de estar cambiándolas estaría Perfecto, y también estaría bien que te dejasen ir al garaje sin tener que avanzar en el ciclo de día/noche si lo que buscas es solo hacer alguna corrección en el auto o tu personaje, pero en general me encanto… Expand

    Amazing game from my experience. Customization is stunning, car list is amazing, and the map and graphics are beautiful! i highly recommend this game.

    Yeah, this is the best NFS since Hot Pursuit 2010, The Criterion Guys, has did a great job with this NFS
    The Campaign, yeah, its very simple, but its fine, 6,7/10

    Might not be the perfect game, but easily the best NFS we've had in the last almost 10 years now. Very good visuals, very good handling (except for light rear engine cars, they have fishtailing problems that I hope get fixed later down the line), decent progression, excellent customization, but lackluster multiplayer. Looking forward to the live service they'll provide.

    initially I was turned off by the stylized aesthetic of this game but after playing, I quickly became fond of it. I don't think NFS Unbound is better than Forza or Gran Turismo but it's different and that's a good thing. It's just a really fun arcade style racer.

    Gostei do mapa e dos carros, só não gostei desses efeitos de animes e principalmente essa jogabilidade que é a mesma desde o need for Speed 2015!! Se vcs pelo menos voltassem com a Jogabilidade parecida com a do NFS 2 Ou Most Wanted 2005 iria ser incrível

    Just terrible in every way. I've played every NFS game in the last 20 years, but this will be my last. I would rather watch raindrops race to the bottom of my window-pane as I stare out into the abyss on a rainy night, seeing the flickering of a broken street lamp through the reflection of my own tired, disappointed eyes.

    Rubberbanding, there is NOT an ounce of RACING in this game, if you buy it you will regret it! It doesnt matter how you spec your car, the ai rubberbands, the police rubberbands, even if you can only race cars in your vehicle class they will go past you with unlimited speed. The controls...the car is either on rails going top speed left or right, or is like a magnet for incoming traffic orRubberbanding, there is NOT an ounce of RACING in this game, if you buy it you will regret it! It just finds these obstacles altough the road is so wide you will hit that tiny indestructible obstacle! The controls..it doesnt respond to your steering, the nose of the car moves but your car stays on the same line..
    Braking...it isnt progressive you just hit brake and its full stop...all loss of speed... Cops....you cant drive race to race because after every race the cops pursue you, and believe me they are the worst cops in any driving game...they are spawning where the game wants them to..if u dont believe me google all these things i ve told you.. If you want to waste your money..buy this game, if you dont there are lots of better driving games out there, i m just sorry forza isnt on playstation. This game is a throwback to ps2 nfs games with the worst rubberbanding possible. The AI speed is cheating outrageously to compensate its poor level. As the cops who catch you make you lose all your money, you have to do even more and more races repeatidly.

    I really regret paying this game such a price as the devs haven't found the recipe to keep a game cool and entertaining. The game is frustrating at best, especially the cheating AI. There is no challenge, just grinding over and over.    … Expand

    B and A tier playlists are infested with bugged cars. A+ is the most balanced tier with the most interesting races. S tier is playable, but some op cars dominate playlists. S+ tier is defined by playing Regera or not being competitive.
    There are also money glitches that haven't been fixed in a month after release and basically make money meaningless.

    Very good racing arcade racing game. Even better NFS game. Enjoyed getting platinum in it. Now waiting new NFS game since like 10 years feels wierd :)

    The WORST:
    a. You make one mistake during the race and you're done. You have to be perfect otherwise you have to restart, but WAIT, you have limited restarts! Haaaa.

    b. Races are categorized by car rank. But if you have one car, you can't visit the garage to adjust the parts so you can cover all the the different ranked races in one session. This means you lose out of races, especially early game.

    c. You made the wrong choices on your car parts to the point that you can't win races? Too bad. Again, you can't edit your car without giving up the races for the day or night time.

    FIRE THE FK-ING TEAM!! This is such a terrible game. They are clearly diversity hires and don't know a wank about making video games!!!    … Expand

    Need for Speed was seriously starting to look dead and buried – and here comes the rescue party! The combination of beautiful, realistic-looking graphics and effects borrowed straight from an anime works surprisingly well, the story doesn’t get in your way and the driving model hits exactly the right spot. Even the open world is fun! This is how you make an arcade racing game.

    Need for Speed Unbound is the best modern NFS to date. It is still riddled with issues like rubberbanding and weird drifting physics, but it still provides its players with the best handling system in years, with grip racing finally back. With the best visual design NFS has ever had and some interesting campaign decisions, it gives hope that the series is back on track to becoming something great.
