    Pay to win trash. What's the point in paying full price for a game when you HAVE to spend an addition $200 to stand a chance online? 2k need to realise this is a joke.

    This has got to be the worst year of 2k in terms of pay-to-win tactics. It's absolutely terrible. The badge regression system encourages more ball hogging and they locked the daily wheel spin behind playing park games. They're making bad decisions after bad decisions. Do not buy this game!

    The absolute worst kind of consumer predatory pay to win garbage you can imagine. 90$ Canadian for the game. About 200$ to pay to level your character up to be competitive. About 15$ for season pass to myteam which if like last year will have 9 seasons so about another 135$. For total of $425 CAD. No auction house.     I agree with the other reviews, it is $70 for a roster update. The graphics are improved, but the gameplay does not feel like a leap, it’s really not much different than ‘23, at least not enough to justify $70. This is monopoly at its finest. EA should be putting in a product to compete with 2K, otherwise the result is laziness.

    Their virtual currency practices should be illegal and has completely destroyed this franchise for people who cant/don't want to spend an additional $100 on top of the base $70 game.     Nobody should be paying for a game with this many microstransactions. It would be a 7 or 8 as a free to play game, but should not exist as a $70 game. I suggest waiting for the game to be added to gamepass/ps+ later this year. If you can't wait that long, it'll probably be half of or even cheaper near the start of the NBA season.

    With the new gameplay features and the new improvements as well as having the Mamba Moments in the game makes NBA 2K24 a memorial game that honors the legend very good.

    One of the worst games ever made swear to god, they just want money at this point no wonder why they loosing player base, I am definitely not buying 2k 25 the devs are lazy, making badge system horrible just so you make a rebirth build and buy vc, one of the worst 2k ever made. Season passes really like stop being money hungry and make a good game lazy devs.

    2K is one of the worse predatory company in the video game industry. The game looks like a DLC of 2k23 but no it is a full price game ! They removed key historic features of previous 2K (Rip Auction House and RIP MyTeam that became a Pay2Play game). As I said the game price is 70$ but they added à season pass that is different every season, and of course if you want to enjoy the season2K is one of the worse predatory company in the video game industry.     Besides the online system that by the way in every sport game like efootball,fifa there r microtransactions the gameplay is the best of 2k in the last decade...the new proplay system truly elevates the mechanics and responsiveness if the game...as for the graphics if y have a ps5 or xbxsx its truly like you watching an nba match.

    Its a pretty good 2k. Mamba moments are fun. My career seems fine. I am having fun in park, my league, and playing online matches in play now. Shooting slumps is bad however and myteam is ass. 8/10 this year roughly. 8.5/10 for gameplay tho

    Gameplay, Proplay and Animations are top notch. Presentation and graphic look great. My nba is fun and addicting. Ehhh about my career and my team

This is a AAA PS5 $70 game, I expect wider city roads at that outrageous price.

    The multiplayer is pay-to-win trash. I missed the NBA 2K days when you can easily get a character into the 90s. Now you have to spend real money to do that, unless you want to waste a ridiculous amount of time. Developers these days are so freaking greedy and lazy. The skateboard mechanics are still a joke and copy pasted from previous 2K games. The races for the skateboard are lazily designed. I don't recommend this game at all, unless you want to support laziness.    … Expand

    Timo, año tras año, cada año mas VC para subir player. Cuando hagan el juego verdaderamente next gen hablamos. El nba 2k14 de PS4 es mejor y tiene MEJORES GRÁFICOS, como se entiende ese downgrate al pasar los años y lo peor, que es de una generación anterior, y los b0b0s comprando el juego y gastando VC, juego para b0b0s.

    No my career narrative story. Battle pass. $100 to $200 after the $100 purchase pf the game to make your player competitive. I should rate it a 0 but I didn't play much of the game. I asked for a refund. Micro transactions have officially ruined sports games. I'm done buying 2k games unless changes are made. I doubt anything will ever change.

    2K Games stopped developing quality basketball a long time ago, now NBA 2K24 resembles a casino simulator, bugs simulator and God knows what else!!! If you're looking for quality basketball for the PS5, I definitely wouldn't recommend this game for purchase. The NBA 2K series is slowly going to the grave...R.I.P

    This game is pure garbage when it comes to the badge regression, that needs to be gone or at least looked at. Removing the ability to shoot around in PRO-AM courts was unnecessary and yet they blunder that away. Gatorade gym is not close enough.     its **** that you are waiting on a spot and a squad comes in and removes you. 2K is made for content creators, not for the casual player that has a job and a life. this will be me last 2K purchase. the city is dumb, this isn't GTA. you have to run around for no reason. VC and player builds are out of hand. its just a money grab machine. IM DONE.

    The gameplay is great. The rest isn’t. Want to maintain a gold badge per season if you don’t have hundreds of hours to play game modes you don’t want to play? $910 dollars

    Trying to make a build? $200.

    The micro transactions for a full price game are disgusting.

    Cash grab trash. Microtransaction hell. People should stop buying 2k. This is my last one. Take Two Interactive is predatory. Especially when you consider how they market this game to children. Maybe it's time for a class action lawsuit like EA.

    This has been the worst 2k experience I’ve had to start a 2k. I mainly play in park/rec and it’s brutal. Shooting is so bad this year it’s embarrassing. While there are people who can shoot the majority of players seem to be laying bricks which makes for sloppy game play. The paint is always clogged as a result. And because they added “shooting slump” that player who gets that won’t hitThis has been the worst 2k experience I’ve had to start a 2k. I mainly play in park/rec and it’s brutal. Shooting is so bad this year it’s embarrassing. While there are people who can shoot the majority of players seem to be laying bricks which makes for sloppy game play. The paint is always clogged as a result. And because they added “shooting slump” that player who gets that won’t hit another shot so shooter can’t shoot anymore. Then there’s the badge regression. Some badges are impossible to level up like blinders and unpluckable. Lock downs are plucking the ball from me left and right as I can’t get my badge upgraded past bronze(mine goes to gold). I wasted $150 on a build with passing and handles. Not only am I getting ripped at will, when I make a nice pass with my high accuracy, the guy catching it can’t hit wide open in the corner,,,i hate this 2k… Expand

    A full priced game littered with micro transactions and now a battle pass. Pay to win by buying in game currency. As greedy as they come, anti consumer. Do not waste your money.

    The core experience is superb, but the same is true of the now significantly cheaper NBA 2K23. Unless the latest rosters are important to you, buy that instead. [Issue#33, p.77]

    NBA 2K24 is another installment in the annals of sports game history. In the moments that it works, it works well. But it’s not welcoming for newcomers, and the insipid practice of MTX is about as subtle as a ball to the face.
