If you do not know the Mount & Blade formula, with its final version after so long in Early Access and its release on consoles is the best time to discover it. [Recommended]

Anything you could ever want in a strategy game is in Bannerlord. You have a constant moving world that shapes around you, and it’s all done naturally with zero scripting. You can fight for or fight against anyone of your choosing. Create your own Kingdom and rule the world. Be a Merc for Hire. Be a traveling salesman. Be the commander of a massive army that you grow from the ground up, all by your own control. There are so many features and levels of depth to Bannerlord that I honestly can’t put it all into this tight review.

I’m just so impressed with what the developers have done with the console version. It feels very similar to the PC version, and it runs and performs SO smooth! There is a 120hz toggle in the option, and the game already runs at a silky 60fps for anyone who doesn’t have the 120hz support. If you have ever liked any strategy game like Total War or Civilization, and you want even more control than those games offer, plus the full scale wars that can take place, you have to get this game. I’m giving it a VERY strong 9.5/10.

The fighting mechanism seemed weird at first but after I got used to it, I've been moving from town to town for ooking tournaments!
Hope to see more like this

No other game offers such a stable alchemy between battle, command, strategy, and management. And no other console game offers so manyNo other game offers such a stable alchemy between battle, command, strategy, and management. And no other console game offers so many features.

The console adaptation is incredible, for its stability and for its ergonomics. To achieve this result two modes are available, there are fewer units displayed but this does not affect the feeling of size. The only flaws I see are the lack of mods, and the loss of some precision compared to the mouse. Everything else is flawless and some shortcuts are even faster and more efficient than the PC!

It's really an excellent surprise in terms of stability and controller efficiency, I didn't expect it.

For the few sound bugs or empty cities, the game is not entirely finished and the few patches planned will correct these minor problems.

Another positive point the developers have done a great job concerning the ergonomics of the menus with the pad, which despite some omissions on certain menus, has the luxury of being faster and more pleasant than on PC for others. However, this pad does not only work wonders and loses precision during battles compared to a mouse, which is the first flaw of this version. The absence of mods is not a surprise but also constitutes a lack of replayability compared to the PC. Finally, the console version is not without sacrifices, either visually/number of units (performance mode), or in terms of fluidity (quality mode). These 3 faults constitute about the only 3 major faults that I have been able to encounter, the rest being only minor bugs or certain cities which are a bit empty but will soon be corrected by patches in the pipeline.

At the time of the balance sheet it is therefore an excellent surprise that this PS5 version, I did not think it was as stable and pleasant in the menus. So much freedom and functionality on the console and at the bottom of your couch, it's just crazy!

The only question to ask now is do I want a typed role-playing game? If the question is yes then this game can become the game of your life, but if your love is corridors and nice graphics then no this game is not for you.
